I think we should freeze all immigration for five or ten years. Figure out who really is here, deport the people who shouldn’t be here. Let the rest of them assimilate. Then deport the ones who don’t. If they don’t want to become Americans, get rid of them. I’ve had this opinion for over twenty years.

Agree. We don’t need huge numbers of permanent legal immigrants or millions of temporary workers. Our labor participation rate is in the low 60s. We have a surplus of labor.

It reminds me of the Challenger O-ring debacle. A few engineers raised the alarm, but those who “knew better” ignored them.
I was on active duty Navy during the Cuban missile crisis and the beginning of the Nam fiasco, stationed in Norfolk.
My wife and I often spent weekends in the DC area.
We liked/loved the Fairfax area. Former enlisted guys were not really welcomed in the elite Maryland burbs.
So, we got an apartment in the city of Fairfax. There were a lot of people like us. My wife became a coronary care RN at Fairfax hospital. Our kids were born at that hospital.
We saved our money, basically banking her paycheck for a down payment on a new home. We lucked out became eligible for a GI loan and bought a nice condo on the western edge of Fairfax county.
For the first few years it was a great place to be..
Then, MLK was killed, and the riots changed that area and dc.
During the riots, we had a lot of active duty and reserve guys, CIA and other spooks. We stood armed and organized guard duty at the main entrance and turned away people who didn’t live in the development and looked to riot/rob/? in our neighbor hood during the MLK riots.
Shortly, after that we started having cars broken into.
Someone stole all 4 tires from my company car. My wife’s convertible top was slashed to see if anything of value was there.
We had tons of good teachers living in that area, and they said that after the riots the class rooms changed and so did the principals. The focus became on managing the “new students” not teaching.
My mother had moved out to Fairfax City to be near her new grandson. She was a reading specialists and basically was told after MLK, with the new make up of her classes. She had to give up on basic reading tests to determine where a child should be. Age became the guide not ability to read on inability to read. She left very quickly, as she refused to play that game. Her new best friend there was a good math teacher, and she left for the same reason.
She resigned and returned to her home state. Our teacher friends and principals in Fairfax county would not discuss the diversity changes as we call them now. Many of them went to other schools in Virginia to escape the new bs.
We moved a few years after MLK’s funeral to another state.
I went back to visit friends after about 2 years. Most of our teacher friends had left. Many military people had transferred away or left after they were discharged. Fairfax county had changed and not for the good of the families living there.
I stayed with a spook friend and his wife for a couple nights before I went to my company meeting. They had applied to basically any foreign State position to get their kids out of the local high and middle schools due to the drug and gang problems.
They transferred and sold their Va. home, which they had planned to spent their post retirement days. Basically every family in our area had left due to the changes in what had been a great area to live and raise your kids. Most of us had originally planned to raise our kids there and stay their for the rest of our lives. Some got divorces as one person hated was being done in their classrooms, and the other somehow lived with it.
We left, when my company offered me a promotion to another state.
At first my wife was upset. In a few years most of her/our friends in our neighbor hood. Often the new comers were not good neighbors and their kids were JD’s.
One can only imagine how terrible it would be to live and work there now.
When you import third world you become third world, if you allow them to keep their language, morality and whatever they should have left behind.
Cleaning up voter fraud is a good first step.

I think it's taken a long time for many people to figure out exactly what's been going on. Now many are aware that the plan all along has been to dilute and disempower the majority power. The reasons are varied, ranging from presumed lessons of WWII and nationalism, to a determination by the elite to finally rid themselves of the collective block of entitled and demanding commoners.
If you flip the situation around and examine it from the ProgLib/GOPe perspective, it all begins to make perfect sense. If you control finance, media and education, it turns out that it's actually quite trivial to brainwash, confuse and/or attack/marginalize any who would opposed an agenda geared towards silencing the most annoying and vocal serfs once and for all.
Which then begs the question: Whose country is this anyways? Why is it the deplorables as they so vociferously claim? What did they do to deserve it? And if they can't defend it, then don't they deserved to lose it? Aren't the stats kabar keeps posting proof that victory was achieved by the elite decades ago? Does that explain their complete disdain and smug satisfaction that Trump is just a mere blip on the trend line?
And if all this is true, then what's the point of complaining about the lost war for independence? Didn't the Japanese and Germans get off their collective duffs and get back into the game of trying to make a living? If they system is actually fixed, and the outcome forgone, then why cry like a baby when the time is still ripe for getting in on the gravy train?

I bet you have never lived in a state where the demographics flipped upside down in a matter of 2 decades or less.
I bet you have never seen the transition from a heavily white Republican state to one that is over 30% or 40% minority with most of that being FOB immigrants who were NOT born in America.
I like your attitude but I am going to guess you have never seen what we are up against in California, Virginia, and other states that are swamped with liberals and immigrants.

Fairfax, like Orange County CA now have a large portion of their electorate being Asian, who, per last election, vote as heavily Dem as the Latinos that so many Freepers obsess about. Maybe we have a problem with LEGAL immigrants, including those whose kids win all the math problems.
Obama was actually better on deporting illegals than both Bushes and Clinton.
Obama fudged his numbers by including border turnarounds that had never been counted as deportations before.
Of the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama era, Clinton was the better at enforcement.
The problem starts because the illegals think it is ok to vote in our elections. They are under this impression because the democrat party tells them/encourages them to vote here.
From their side:
They see that one of the two major U.S. political parties is actively encouraging them to come to the United States.
They tell them to pay no attention to US immigration laws, that these are illegal/immoral/racist laws. They can vote once they get here, and then immigration laws will be removed (Open Borders).
( Add to this that the illegal person most likely, has also been subjected to a lifetime of anti-U.S. propaganda in their own country- blaming the U.S. for their home country's poverty exc...and it's no wonder they come, they think the U.S owes them.)
When they do arrive here, they get jobs. Their kids go to school. They live their lives.
The democrats give them driver's licenses, register them, and then tell them to vote.
Given this scenario, it is not surprising that they participate in our elections.
But the truth is, those here illegally are pawns of the global/ democrat/communist party.
The question is:
How is this legal?
How can it be ok for a political party to do this?
To me this is another Coup against the U.S. waged by the crimminal enterprise Corruptocrat party.
The main issue with illegal immigrants is that they are being used to vote in the exact same type of corrupt government that DESTROYED their home countries.
SO what can be done about this?
How do we get through to people about what the democrats actually up to?
The dems want to turn the U.S.A. into Venezuela- where 0.0001% of the people have ALL control over the rest, and enjoy wealth and privilege, while the rest live helplessly, in poverty and misery, eating garbage, and drinking sewer water.
Legal, illegal, no matter where your people are originally from, -Everyone has to WAKE UP to what these tyrants are REALLY about.

The Founding Fathers gave us a system of checks and balances is that is pure genius. C onceivably, it keeps politicians accountable to the people, and prevents anyone from having too much power.

Let me assure you, that I have traveled to and spent much time in 46 states and 45 countries around the world. Yes Virginia has changed radically over the past five or ten years...I readily admit that.....but...as the swarm of illegals and federal Democrats stormed in to Fairfax county, the heartland of Virginia GOP folks stopped voting through out the state.
How about Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Florida, Texas Ohio, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa...etc.? They have all changed, most from blue to red!!! Sorry...you all gotta be in the game proactively to win the game...period!!!
