Appearing Saturday on CNNs Axe Files, Cindy McCain reacted to recent happenings in Washington, D.C., saying the United States needs her late husband, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), more than ever.
A transcript is as follows:
DAVID AXELROD: What would John McCain be saying right now?
CINDY MCCAIN: I think hed be disgusted with some of the stuff thats going on. I really do. Hed be railing against whats going on. I think John provided a lot of cover for other members and when he would do it, they could get behind him. Im not seeing a real rudder in the Senate right now.
AXELROD: Why do you think that is? It seems like theres this sort of reign of terror about taking on the president and criticizing him.
MCCAIN: I think it has to do with re-elections and keeping their heads down. Im not being critical, because I understand what it means to get re-elected. But, at some point, you have to do what you were elected to do and that was represent the country as well as your local people. But I think John would be I know hed be terribly upset by this whole thing. He was upset before he died. He saw what was going on. I wish he were here, like all of us, I wish he were here. But we need him more than ever. We really do.

Sure why not.. go fish his corpse up and CNN etc. will say it should be the Republican candidate to take on Trump.
Certainly more brain function than Biden atm.
Still able to vote Democrat as well!
>> Let the poor woman alone with her delusions.
Agreed, but we’re just the muted voice far away from the venue.
It’s the MSM mavens, Disney and Comcast, that should # off.
No it’s time to top being bitches and CRUCIFY anyone who wants to see our president taken down illegally?
And I didn’t know she was a “poor” woman. Is she broke? Is she mentally ill? Or is she hateful towards our president and everything he stands for.
Crucify the bitch in articles and in words.
So sick of being the nice guys as our president endures yet ANOTHER coup.
And some here STILL have sympathy and pity for some against him.
#### that.
Crucify her.
‘Israel determined after about two years into the Syrian civil war after they first backed Militias that became ISIS to counter Hezbollah that it was a mistake and withdrew support
Unlike McCain who continued to support anyone who opposed Assad including ISIS fronts
In hindsight anyone can see Assad bad enougj was preferable
Trump understands sometimes bad guys are better than what comes after
Libya anaother example”
Thanks. So many don’t remember back that far — or never understood at all in the first place.
There.. fixed it.
Amen
Actually, at first I thought it was the daughter. They both sound the same to me.
“””Traitors bastard
Pimped that fake dossier just like they knew he would”””
Needed to be repeated and Amen.

Oleg Deripensky, a Russian oligarch once linked to Paul Manafort, published an Op-Ed in which he made the claim that George Soros was helping fund Fusion GPS.
He also highlighted a conversation between Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Victoria Nuland at the Munich Security Conference in February 2018.
I highlighted Nulands role in structuring the Ukrainian government in 2014.
I dont know about the Soros connection but I did find the Whitehouse-Nuland conversation (Video is queued):

WHITEHOUSE: Even in an area [Climate Change] where the administration has carved out perhaps the most irresponsible position it could, on an issue of global significance, nevertheless you cant really resist the pressure of fact and science and I guess what the Breitbart crowd would call the Deep State but what many of us would call knowledgeable professionals whove given their lives to these things and actually know what theyre talking about
So even on that worst of all issues theres still a hope for continuity at least in the Deep State.
Note John Kerry smiling and applauding in the crowd.
NULAND: Well colleagues, youve now heard our bi-partisan, bicameral panel of Deep State crowd loyalists give broad reassurance about continuity in U.S. leadership and in U.S. policy overall.
For the record, Sheldon Whitehouse is a blithering idiot.
Continue watching the video a moment longer to see Ex-Representative Jane Harman pay homage to John McCain:
HARMAN: His voice, his presence, was instrumental in training generations of members of the U.S. Congress on foreign policy issues.
NULAND: And the U.S. State Department
HARMAN: And the U.S. State Department too. He had his favorites, you being one Victoria.
McCain is dead and he is not coming back Cindy.
Very sad when the widow beatifies a controversial figure.
The real power behind Crazy John.
A fellow Freeper noticed about 10 years ago, Cindy was wearing a “Emily’s List” pin.
WE do, Cindy ..MITT ROMNEY!! aka Pierre Delecto!!
Leader? Leader of the democrats maybe.
I think McNuts is just fine where he is. In hell!!!
These people get so addicted to power, they try to hang onto power posthumously. They think they are indispensable, even when dead and buried.
Bafungul her too. If her husband didn’t thumbs down Obamacare where would our GDP be? There are those that say it takes 1.5% off of GDP, can you imagine how much more this economy would be smoking if HWSNBN’d didn’t do what he did?
No Cindy, we don’t need anymore Republicans to act like conservatives when they run for office, but then vote like a democrat when elected. People like that are disgraces, and we don’t need anymore. Someday may you finally realized your husband was the destroyer rather than saviour. What a delusional hack!
Continued exposure to McCain’s positions did improve his standing with Republicans. As near as I can figure out his shtick was to meet the most left wing Dem on a given issue then put together a compromise to advance that issue with just enough Republicans that leadership could not block their compromise. These deals of his never advanced conservative priorities.
That McCain and his defenders would use his service in Vietnam as both a shield against criticism and a weapon against his critics annoyed more and more of his critics. What does service in Vietnam have to do with tax policy? to pick only one issue he was out of step with most Republicans.
There are a lot of reasons most Republicans went good riddance when he died.
