The Zionist Organization of America “strongly praised” the announcement that “the United States no longer adheres to the Anti-Semitic Orwellian lie that Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria are illegal and a breach of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention.”

The Republican Jewish Coalition called the change a “historic decision by the Trump Administration, one that recognizes the facts on the ground and the necessity of a negotiated peace between the parties to the conflict.”

In 1978, the Carter administration adopted the position that the settlements violated international law. President Ronald Reagan reversed that policy, but then Obama reinstated it during the lame duck days of his administration.

Secretary Pompeo issued a statement explaining the administration’s legal reasoning (original emphasis):

Isn’t it delight when you stumble on to someone who gets it? It is hopeful that hat many do get it but fear “coming out”. It makes no sense that the Rats still get such strong Jewish support when you look at what the Dems have become.

...a candidate’s stance on Israel ranks at the bottom of a list of 16 policy priorities of Jewish voters...

Which is why I refused to vote for him in 2000.

That guy telegraphed ‘worm’ worse than anyone I’d seen.

I only begrudgingly voted for him in 2004.

I had one person here tell me Bush was a better president than Reagan.

Good grief...

The Bushbots were simply clueless, when it came to who he really was.

The United States remains deeply committed to helping facilitate peace, and I will do everything I can to help this cause.

LOL! No chance of that. Peace for the Palestinians means no Israel. Peace for Israel requires Israel continue to exist and something or other happens with the Palestinians. Not a lot of middle ground there

So, a policy that was in effect for no more than 6 or so years total in the last 43 years, has been halted again... and its a big deal??

This policy was garbage under Carter, Halted under Reagan and Obama slipped it back in on his way out the door?

I don’t recall big headlines when Obama slipped this garbage back into policy do you?

Do you recall headlines screaming he “REVERESED” Policy of REAGAN, BUSH I, CLINTON, AND BUSH II when he did this? I sure don’t...

It's my understanding that the State Department declaration of illegailty in the late 70s stated that it applied until a treaty between Israel and Jordan. The former ruler of the contested, not occupied, territory. So post 1994 the issue was moot.

Another reason why politicians in the US & Israel hate Trump/Pence.

Every time Trump carries out his foreign policy in any country the ‘oh no’ affect rises in horror by those who are accustomed to year after year status quo....Additionally the Globalists Leaders get their pants in huge knots because Trump is not in lockstep with their agenda for world dominance.
