During a press conference on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that “the evidence is clear” that President Trump used his office for his own gain, undercut American national security and the integrity of American elections, and “violated his oath of office.”

Actually, we found the Obama withheld military aid to the Ukraine as they were being attacked by Russia. Biden acted to enrich his son by extorting the Ukrainians. And Obama’s administration was apparently aware of an attempt by Russia to influence the 2016 election and did NOTHING except put phone taps on the Republicans (where have we found that they tapped the phones of Hillary?).
So get on with it Nancy. Call for an impeachment vote. Whats stopping you?
It was probably in a way used for a charitable purpose, that being, gifts to the Chinese who gave him the $1.7 billion.

Spending so much of his personal money to get elected. Losing so much money in his businesses that he had to walk away from to accept this position. What personal gain was that again?

Dems project their own wrong doings by blaming others for what they are doing to deflect blame. It’s one of their signature tactics. It’s what they are known for worldwide.
Trump might be the first president in U.S. history who leaves office less wealthy than he was before he announced his candidacy. I’m not sure what “personal gain” she could possibly be talking about.
How is that clear? Be specific Nancy.
Even with days of free media, a planned show with only anti-Trump witnesses, and a media faking the news only showing anti-Trump clips, the polls haven't budged - an impeachment vote will be by party line - not good for Dems.
The Senate will acquit Trump. Pelosi knows this and doesn’t care.
Not a single Republican will vote for the articles of impeachment. Let’s get this circus over with.

He’s sworn to uphold the laws. If looking into past corruption happens to benefit him, it doesn’t make upholding the laws wrong.
That means she’s got nothing and knows it.

1. Muh Russia swings house to DNC
2. Impeachment interpreted as purely political, hence lack of due process ie no need to follow std civil/criminal procedures
3. Any Ukraine player could run for office (Biden was best), making a Trump inquiry a political act for "personal gain"
Game, set & match - at least for the House. One thing we should observe, if not necessarily admire, is how committed the left is to their agenda. They really don't deviate - it's full steam ahead, damn the consequences.
The other observation is I thought Trump was supposed to be smart? Why is he still getting rolled? The muh Russia counter-strike should have occurred 2 years ago. This would have reduced the chances of the House utilizing this particular device for their impeachment drive.
Sure, the proglibs would have invented something else, but the lack of foresight on Trump's part in letting the enemies escape will forever lead to questions regarding his savvy/desire to restore the republic.

Hard to see how they can accomplish it with a party-line, partisan impeachment vote.
