We stopped reading it some months ago. Just too many far leftist propaganda titles getting mixed in. Annoying

I dumped Drudge awhile back. he turned Never-Trumper right after the election when he had his feelings hurt because Trump wouldn’t say that it was Drudge that won the election for him.

But the main reason it left was the constant reloading. Switched to Liberty Daily But it reloads too and has ads that you can’t close. So I’m also going to Whatfinger News, Ratingly and News Ammo.

But Free Republic is still my main source.

From Wikipedia:
Business model & viewership

Revenue for the Drudge Report -- estimated in 2019 to be as high as $30 million dollars per year -- is driven by advertising that was managed for 20 years by Intermarkets, Inc. During the summer of 2019, after many years of being known for "changing nothing" about the website, Drudge advertising shifted to a "new and unknown" company by the name of Granite Cubed which is owned by Margaret and Adrian Otto. Mr. Otto is a technical director at Google Cloud. In 2017, the Ottos acquired Refdesk, a website whose founder is Bob Drudge, Matt’s father. The current ownership, strategy and outlook for the Drudge Report is held close as private information.[57]

Without attribution as to cause, viewership of the Drudge Report has been reported by Alexa Internet as dropping markedly since October 2019, from a ranking of #610 in global internet engagement to #772 and declining in November 2019.[58]

But the person behind this account says he has never met Matt and is just some dude.

.@dbongino For context. Good luck with the new site. @MarkDice isn't the only one posting from his kitchen. Never Met Matt and like many have no idea whats up, hope he is well and having amazing fun. Isn't the internet interesting? cc @TomFitton thanks for your work. https://t.co/4slbXsIKLr— DRUDGE REPORT (@DRUDGE_REPORT) December 8, 2019

Dear @jack please stop your staff from changing my account settings without my knowledge. I am not a porn star or terrorist. Just some dude retweeting a news source for now 10 years, based in SF, your hometown. Love @Twitter but it's become weird. pic.twitter.com/wA9KRUZzSN— DRUDGE REPORT (@DRUDGE_REPORT) June 10, 2018

However, the conservative news icon appeared to criticize former secret service agent Dan Bongino’s news website as boring on Saturday.

I wonder how exciting the Sludge Report was in its first week of operation?

And Bongino isn't filling the site with titillating tabloid trash articles and isn't shoveling ads down the viewer's throat or using a dishonest auto-refresh feature to bump up it's click count and ad revenue.

Selling your readers out to the enemy and hurting the movement you fought for 20 years is disgusting. Drudge got even more money but lost his reputation.

If Drudge sold out, he should have removed his name from the site by contract. The Drudge Report was more than money — it was a bastion. Now, as every day passes, he looks a simpering wimp. — whether he still owns the site or not.

This kind of explains a lot as to the ultra liberal take on Drudge during the past couple months. I wonder how long the transfer has been in the works and when the new owners/managers started to influence what was posted.
