A boy wore a Trump yarmulke to the White House signing event for the president’s executive order on anti-Semitism Wednesday.
The 12-year-old boy named Austin wore a red yarmulke with the president’s last name embroidered on it as he was invited up to address the crowd.
“Thank you for having me at the White House today,” he said to Trump. “It was very unexpected. My mom pulled me out of school when the White House called, and I was in the middle of lunch. Probably one of the first times I was ever speechless.”
Trump mentioned Austin’s comments were not planned before noticing the Trump yarmulke.
“Is that a Trump yarmulke?” he said. “Oh, it's a Trump yarmulke. Wow, I like that. Can I have that, Austin? I want that."
Others in the crowd joined Austin in wearing the pro-Trump yarmulkes.
