I googled the question today after hearing countless times in the witchhunt hearings that whistleblowers have a right to anonymity. Shockingly, the "Fact checker" at WaPo calls out Pencil Neck/Shifty Schiff. Most of The MSM of course totally ignore the falsehood.

In America you are allowed to face your accuser. This is not a repeat of the Dreyfus trial in France or the Stalinist purge trials of the 1930's

(stuff you learn when home schooled)

Mr. Schiff should be called “Pinocchio Man” he’s such an effing liar!

The compost just cannot stop with the lying and disinformation. No one has debunked the “conspiracy theory that Ukrainians (and not Russians) interfered in the 2016 U.S. election”. Even the wording of their statement is biased and intentionally misleading, as usual.

Mark Levin talked about it some time ago. The statute says nothing about being able to remain anonymous.

When the whistleblower is no longer useful he/she will know how Jeff Epstein feels.

It’s probably worse for the “WB” to have been doxxed like this but not publicly identified. He’ll be forever looking over his shoulder, which is good. If he’d been IDed then he would make some kind of claim that he deserves protection. Since we don’t know who he is (lol) he’s on his own.

Whistleblowers have a right to not be subject to any retaliation, but they do not have a right to anonymity, protection from telling lies, or jeopardy for not following the proper protocol.

Unfortunately the WB statute is being abused by members of the “resistance” who don’t like DJT’s policies or actions. Kind of like millions who take advantage of antidiscrimination laws to cover their incompetence.

The whistleblower who questioned our government’s payments to Halper was punished!

I seem to remember Obama arresting and pressing charges against any whistle blowers who said anything about his transgressions

When a whistleblower files a complaint he may ASK to remain anonymous. And that's okay unless there's a good reason for him NOT to remain anonymous. And I think that being the basis for a call for impeachment of the President of the United States is sufficient reason to know his identity.

And in my gut, we're going to find that this person is closely aligned with James Comey. The MO is identical to Comey and his leaks.

so the accused doesn’t get to face his accuser?

Well that’s fair in a free society. No sham trial here.

I don’t think the demtards realize what they’re doing, in terms of repercussions.

“The statute says nothing about being able to remain anonymous.”

It’s about protecting whistleblowers against retaliation.

Were whistleblowers to be allowed anonymity, it would become a shitstorm of false allegations.

He didn’t qualify as a whistleblower until the rules where inexplicably changed immediately after the phone call, allowing for hearsay, which it was. That makes it CONSPIRACY BY EVERYONE IN THE CHAIN TO COMMIT HIGH TREASON.

So, exactly like what is happening now with Trump.

According to the spirit of the Constitution, an accused has the right to face his accuser in court. There is no statutory right for a man to put an accusation out there and refuse to own up to it.

There is No Statutory right.

It’s a bunch of DEM Hacks.

Just like IG Horowitz withholding names of wrongdoers. There is nothing anywhere to support that.

Made up of whole cloth to protect Democrats.

Media follows suit - because they’re in on it
