"I'll respect you in the morning" is what I half expect to hear. Of course, the Democrats now invoking the Founding Fathers' memory in their effort to impeach President Trump won't respect our colonial progenitors at the next dawn any more than they did at the last one.
Nonetheless, the Left has interrupted its regularly scheduled programming of trying to tear down the Founders' reputations and life's work — the Electoral College, the First and Second Amendments, and the Constitution generally — to claim that those Enlightenment men are on their side.
Nancy Pelosi (D-Fruits and Nuts) has proclaimed that Trump's actions "are in defiance of the vision of our Founders." Democrat Jerrold Nadler, from the state (N.Y.) that allows prenatal infanticide up to birth and iss giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens, asked a shill college professor of an impeachment "witness," "[I]f Washington were here today, if he were joined by Madison, Hamilton and other Framers, what do you believe they would say if presented with the evidence before us about President Trump's conduct?"
My, my, as Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson put it Tuesday evening, "Democrats care deeply and passionately about the Founding Fathers." For sure. Just watch a selection of them in Carlson's segment below, if you have a strong stomach and high tolerance for shameless sanctimony.

Most of the Democrats would have been put on the docket as traitors if the Founders had their way.
Shameless sanctimony, is what democrats do best.
It’s a sort of protective coloration.
The Democrats love polls.
Their polls show them losing on this impeachment issue.
Yet, they keep pushing impeachment.
They keep pushing an issue that is killing them?
Why?
Because this impeachment has stopped the investigation into the criminal actions of the Democrat leaders with Ukraine and Libya.
This impeachment sham is just about keeping Democrats out of prison.

It was not a one night stand, it was a quickie!
The mile-wide chasm disconnect between the words the Democrats are using (”saving the republic” and “following the Constitution”, etc.) and the actual behaviors WITH FACTS OF EVIDENCE, is projectile vomit blatant.
There is zero causation: correlation in any speck of any of this. Logical progression of thought runs off the rails with their every second sentence.
Everything leaps from the high mindedness of the rule of law and the Constitution, then off into fantasy land with the ACTUAL evidence and facts of what is being presented in this case. Opinions are daydreams. Expert witness testimony is daydreams. It’s funny pictures swirling around in your contaminated and bigoted, stained mind.
Does anyone on the left listen to their own speaking and make certain there is a logically progressive train of facts? Changing the meanings of words and phrases makes everything fake.
They keep saying “rule of law.” It’s disgusting.
