Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) drew a line at the chardonnay at a major California rally Saturday, declaring: We dont go to rich peoples wine caves.
The declaration was the latest chapter in a battle over fundraising among the Democratic presidential candidates. South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has drawn heat for a tony fundraiser at a Napa Valley wine cave in an event sponsored by the winerys billionaire owners.
**SNIP**
What our campaign is about, what our administration will be about, is one person one vote, not billionaires buying elections, he said.
Sanders claimed his campaign has raised more contributions from more people than any candidate in U.S. history. We dont have a super PAC, we dont want a super PAC, he said.
Our campaign is not only about defeating Trump, our campaign is about a political revolution. It is about transforming this country, it is about creating a government and an economy that works for all people and not just the one percent, he said.

This particular socialist sips his vodka in one of his three mansions. And he's running in an attempt to live in a forth.
But his followers are too stupid to realize they’re being had.
But the whole wine cave thing is hysterical :)
Silliest primary I’ve ever seen
Bernie has his own Whine Caves.
lol
They ALL have trillion dollar a seat dinners held in the fanciest places but a wine cellar is the definition evil.
I hear people with wine caves worship the devil :)
How did a socialist kibbutz influence Bernie Sanders?
When he moved to the kibbutz, Ely admits he “didn’t know a thing about communism.” But he studied the political philosophy of Marxism-Leninism, the socialist ideology on which the former Soviet Union was based.
“Once the volunteers stopped coming, all the parties stopped. And the fun stopped. We learned a lot from them,” he says.

The amusing thing....if you were in a room with fifty working-class Democrats....none of them have ever sipped wine in some cave. Regular people can’t connect on wine-caving.
That is hysterical.
Trump is rich but he’s been around the bloc a thousand times and has interacted with a million people while building an empire.
steyer, bloomberg..the cannot relate AT ALL to the average person.
Hunter Biden is what Trump might have been at that age with a father like Joe.
Thank God Trump’s pop taught him the right way to live.
Doesn’t Pelosi own a winery?
Many cellars?
he’s not a wine-caver, he’s a private-laker.
The beverage of choice for Trump (remember, he’s never drunk booze, beer or wine in his life)....is diet Coke. The rumor is that he consumes a total of a dozen per day. Even if you see him toasting some UN official....there’s diet Coke in the wine-glass.
Get out of here!!
I drink about a dozen diet coke/pepsi/root beer/orange soda a day too.
Two wild and crazy NYers, Trump and I :)
Been doing it for 10 years and I’m sure i’ll pay a price one day.
But if the POTUS does it, it’s good enough for me! :)
Just another failed political campaign of Hope & Change from a communist Lenin!
Wine cave is Warrens dog whistle. She cant bust on Mayor HOmo because homos are off limits but she is jealous of the homo bux Mayor HOmo is raking in.
Libs make great efforts to define themselves by what groups they do or don’t belong to. It gives them credence with other groups. At the heart of it is not the individual but group/mob control. I thought the left used to portray itself as those who tear down barriers notcontniually erect them. Bernie is an old white male. There are 3 out of favor groups right there. The working class aren’t really all that popular with today’s Progressives either. When the group hierarchy changes you can quickly find yourself out on your butt.
Don’t you just wonder if Bernie actually does believe he could be President of America? How? What could possibly make him think enough Americans would ever want him to be the leader of our Nation?
Symbolism
Ask the Senator what will happen to workers in the energy sector after he enacts his Green New Deal.
Lol, yes Sanders is more of a house on the water kind of guy with money taken from others.
I would place a bet that most of the attendees at said wine cave reception had never been in one either. That's the attraction of holding an event in such a place. This whole controversy is silly. You ask a supporter to hold a fundraiser. The supporter agrees to open his home and invite his friends and business associates. If he has something neat or unusual, that often becomes the hook. People are there to make a political donation, but there's nothing wrong with making it fun. Most of the political receptions I've done are in very average, overcrowded living rooms, straightened up for the occasion, or nicely landscaped backyards with the grass freshly mowed, or hotel banquet rooms for larger events. That's all fine, and it's what people expect, but if you have a wine cave, use it.
That said, I've staffed events in billionaires' homes on several occasions, though I've never seen a wine cave. A clue to the clueless. Billionaires live day to day a lot like the rest of us. Their houses tend to be bigger, sometimes a lot bigger. They're in better neighborhoods, sometimes with a great view, and the neighbors are richer. They usually look like a professional decorator has had a hand in things. Their houses often look better because they're big enough to be uncluttered, and because they have help to keep things picked up. Billionaires' yards look better for the same reason.
My wife and I redid our small rowhouse kitchen years ago and went with Subzero and Viking appliances; we're competitive with the billionaires there, and on the granite countertops. If the billionaires spent more money, it's mainly because their kitchens are five times the size of ours, and they have nicer cabinets. I generally prefer my tchotchkes to their tchotchkes; incidental objects and collectibles are a matter of personal taste, and I lean towards historical rather than artsy. I don't play in the priceless antique/fine arts leagues, but I don't resent those who do, and whose homes look like a museum. The bathrooms all work the same way.
The point is, our class warriors are simply oblivious to the fact that working and middle class Americans take for granted a standard of living that would have been beyond reach for anyone other than the very wealthiest people even a hundred years ago. Yeah, our cars don't cost as much, but they do the same job about as well, and we don't wince as hard when they get dinged with a rock on the highway. The billionaires have us beat when it comes to vacations (unless you idea of a vacation is visiting Civil War battlefields) and collecting fine art (if that's your bag), but that's about it. Democrats are peddling envy and resentment to people who have no grounds for complaining.
