President Donald Trump’s approval rating has soared past that of ex-President Barack Obama’s at the same point in his administration, defying negative sterotypes driven by opponents as he became only the third president in U.S. history to be impeached.
Trump’s job approval rating 151 weeks into his presidency sits at 45 percent, as revealed by a Gallup poll last Wednesday. That puts Trump three points higher than the 42 percent approval rating Gallup found for Obama at the same point of his presidency.
Gallup’s poll recorded a similar job disapproval rating for both presidents 151 weeks into their administrations. Some 51 percent of voters said they disapprove of Trump’s performance in a Gallup poll conducted Dec. 2-15, compared with 50 percent of voters saying they disapproved of Obama’s performance in a Dec. 12-18, 2011 Gallup poll.
Trump’s approval rating has climbed six percentage points since House Speaker Nancy Pelosi opened an impeachment inquiry against him in September.
House Democrats subsequently voted to impeach President Donald Trump last Wednesday after the House passed article one of H.R. 755, which charges Trump with abusing the office of the presidency.
Now the House has passed articles of impeachment, the Senate will convene a trial to determine if the president should be removed from office.

Even though he is definitely higher than 45, I think 45 is all you need to win.
I said I had an unfavorable view of GW in his second election.
I still voted for him.
Easily 5 percent who say they aren’t happy with him will still vote for him.
Not approving of the R president and voting for a D instead are VERY DIFFERENT THINGS! :)

There is one thing that is guaranteed other then death and taxes and that is the left ALWAYS overplay their hand
Eventually the public get tired of this and will eventually support president Trump because they feel he isn’t getting a fair shake in the media
The democrats are doing us all a favor and pushing people to support Trump
Hillary 2016 voters are liking Trump and some already saying they plan on support the President in 2020
I am not saying these people are going to become die hard conservatives but they certainly can turn into Trump supporters.
I was at a Christmas party over the week end with a mid-level Union Leader.
Mid-level means he earns 6 figures, has a union provided vehicle, expense account and many contractors buying him stuff.
He is honest and hard working and protects his union workers, BUT he insists that they work.
According to him, 60+% of his union guys are Trumpsters.
The union bond to the demonRAT party was severed by Trump in 2016, and it has been mostly destroyed because Trump has kept his promises to the working man.
If people think that union workers are too stupid to understand what Trump says and what he then does, helps them, then they must belong to the DNC.
I guarantee you, Western PA union workers that have anything to do with construction, drilling, home building, electrical plant building, will vote for Trump.
Not 100%, but at least 3-2, and that's good enough for me.
