Part of this story (usually left out by the news media) is that a fair number of the normal folks who’d be up for the position are older guys (in their 50s/60s). In order to appear ‘fresh’ or ‘in-tuned’....the various parties have tried flush out young-blood into middle-grade political positions, and she’s used those opportunities to accelerate and compete with the older-guys.
Nationally, on the stage, she’s been around since 2015. She’s known on Facebook and various social media sites.
She would not have come to the level...had it not been for the postal strike of 2019 in Finland. That strike eventually led to the national airlines (FinnAir) joining the strike and screwing up flights around the country. A lot of frustrated people got hyped up that the airline joined in on this, and the PM basically had to go.
If I were to take a guess here, unless she screws up badly, she’s got to 2023 and the next national election...before the public judges her performance.
