Left unsaid by these stupid bastards - the minimum wage would easily be $20 to $30 right now, and without any legislation nor hectoring by the oh-so-caring virtue signalers - if America had not been invaded by illegal mass migration. Estimates vary though there are Tens of Millions of foreign nationals who drain city coffers, state and federal budgets and drive entry level wages to historic lows.
It is absolutely intolerable and has long been a “bipartisan” affair. In fact, it wasn’t all that long ago that Democrats still recognized that importing foreign labor and outsourcing factories was a death knell to American workers. Now we witness even at the highest levels Union Leadership giving their blessing to aliens taking American jobs - careers, presumably in exchange for $$$. Nothing else makes any sense.
