Bernie, The Fix is In…Again!
Townhall.com ^ | January 26, 2020 | Gil Gutknecht

If you are four hands into a high stakes poker game and you still haven’t figured out who the mark is, it’s probably you.

Poor Bernie behaves as if he doesn’t yet understand that he is the mark. The deck is stacked. The cards are marked. The remaining players at the table, especially that smiling dealer (the one with the press credentials, shuffling the cards) haven’t determined who the winner will be. But they have decided one thing, it ain’t gonna to be Bernie!

They’ve tipped their hands.

The New York Times Editorial Board can’t decide which woman should be nominated. They have made it clear however, it cannot be Bernie. They decided decades ago that they will never endorse a Republican. Especially a populist like Donald Trump. Bernie and his militant supporters must be brought to heel if the elites have any hope of dislodging the Donald.

Going forward, Bernie can expect the liberal media to deal him some of the same cards normally reserved only for Republicans. He should be prepared for much tougher questions. Maybe even some follow ups, a few “he claims” or a “without proof.” Anything to chip away at his credibility. Remember how the media turned the table on John McCain once it looked like he might actually win? They might even find time to examine Bernie’s life story. His infatuation with communist revolutions may be revisited. We’ve had a taste of this in the days since the release of the latest round of polling and fundraising numbers.

Bernie had a great fourth quarter. He raised more money than any other Democrat. Save of course, the self-funding billionaires who simply backed up to their personal ATMs. He has more than doubled the fundraising totals of the establishment choice, Joe Biden. A recent Des Moines Register poll of Iowa Democrats had Bernie leading the pack with Elizabeth Warren fading. And an Emerson College poll has Bernie holding a comfortable nine point lead in New Hampshire over both Biden and Warren. You could literally hear the alarms going off all over Washington among the Democrat establishment.

One Rolling Stone author described CNN’s debate questioning of Bernie and Warren as “both Villainous and Shameful.” The allegation that he had told Warren that a woman could never be elected President was a naked political hit. After Bernie flatly denied the charge, the CNN questioner immediately turned to Ms. Warren and asked her how she felt when Bernie said that? We half-expected the next question to be, “Senator Sanders, did wife beating have anything to do with your first divorce, yes or no?”

At least Bernie may now have more empathy for the treatment Republican candidates regularly receive.

Of course, bitter Hillary wasted little time piling on. Still carrying a bur under her saddle for Bernie having taken her down to the wire, she delivered a few gratuitous cheap shots. In an interview that she hopes will be seen by large numbers of Democrat activists, she unloaded on Bernie. Sounding more like the self-appointed prom queen and captain of the high school In Crowd, Hillary said, “nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him.”

She wasn’t finished.

She turned the knife with a few deeper cuts. Saying, “He got nothing done. He was a career politician. It’s all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got sucked into it.”

Ouch!

Even those of us who may share some of these sentiments found those comments unseemly.

Some claim that Bernie doesn’t really care. He sometimes acts as if he isn’t all that committed. Ordinarily, no one does indignation any better than Bernie. But, he took the Hillary swipes more like a George W. Remember how Bernie just limped away after he was jobbed last time by Team Hillary? Maybe he understands his role. If he wins, fine. If he loses, he will write another book, make another million and remodel his dacha on Lake Champlain.

Not the worst outcome for a self-described socialist plutocrat.

His boisterous backers are another story. They see the dealing from the bottom of the deck and the other tricks. They are important players in this game. And lest we forget, they’re all in.

Bernie got a new vacation home by losing the last time. I’m sure he’ll do very well this time too.

The nice thing about Bernie getting screwed again is that his dopey communist supporters will sit out the election.

Bernie may now have more empathy for the treatment Republican candidates regularly receive from the merciless media.
The allegation that he told Warren "a woman could never be elected President" was a naked political hit.
Bernie flatly denied the charge, but the CNN predator immediately asked Warren how she felt when Bernie said that? She said she disagreed.

At least Bernie still has AOC in his corner (smirk).

Make us taxpayers give him his own Gulfstream, being out of the race won’t be so bad.

I do not believe that your fantasy will come to pass.

Bernie’s faction will run a candidate of their own, and it is very possible that they will get close enough to the vote percentage of the Democrat party as to cannibalize even more from the Democrats in 2024.

I remember the 2016 Dem Iowa caucuses - each precinct gets a vote chosen by the majority of attendees. Oddly, at the end of the night the caucuses were tied between Bernie and Miss Hillary Clinton and there were six of those precincts had a tie vote so their vote didn’t make a difference. Can’t have their friends in the “news” media report a tie, can they? So the DNC had a coin flip to determine who won the six tied precincts. And guess who won all six coin flips? None other than Miss Lucky Cattle Futures, Hillary Clinton. So her friends in the “press” could now report that Hillary Clinton “won” the Iowa caucuses.

The shoe is on the other foot right now, but it will eventually come back to us. We suffered through 2 election cycles with the likes of McCain and Romney, and we were thoroughly trounced by Obama’s election fraud machine. Then we got Trump, the “breakaway” candidate many of us were hoping to finally get.

Now the Dems are grinding through their usual suspects, the “women who deserve the presidency” and the “ascendant former VP” supposedly everyone just adores. *coughAlGorecough* Meanwhile, most of us don’t envision a world where Trump isn’t the leader of the US for another 4 years.

My concern is what happens in 2024? Bernie’s health isn’t exactly stellar. Hillary... God help us. Lieawatha? She’s too much of a wildcard. I suspect the Dems will find some leftist business mogul who everyone sort of loves or a movie star who will get droves of drooling teens to the polls to vote regardless of politics. And we all know that second term presidents often take off the gloves and start hammering away at political bête-noir causes which might leave the Republicans fighting for popularity points among centrists.

Fact is that we swing back and forth like a pendulum, and recent history is showing that pendulum wants to swing further and further to the opposing side. Let’s pray that we don’t wind up reaping a whirlwind in the form of a communist gun grabbing globalist with a pretty face and no fear. We’ve seen what happens in microcosms like Virginia. There’s no reason to think that can’t happen nationally.

My take on things in the big picture? We had the TEA Party and the GOP did their dead level best to kill it. In return we gave them Trump. Now the Rats have AOC and the squad. The Rats will choke the retards out with prejudice and in return they will run some full bore Marxist downs the road in 5 years or a decade. We barely got Trump in by the skin of our teeth (Thank You God). Their Marxist (AOC) won’t win or it’s the end.

Nice is an understatement!

Or maybe it’s not what the hell do I know? :)

But it might be an understatement if they REALLY stay home in DROVES. Can you stay home in droves?

If just a small percentage of his followers don’t vote then it’s just nice :)

No one has a majority at the Convention. Voting goes to second round an the Superdelegates are untied. Mrs Bill wheezes in to Save The Party. There are alternate benefits to a Clinton Candidacy. If she wins then the Deep State wins and open corruption and looting of America can get underway in earnest. If she loses it will be the smallest prospective loss to the Party. Her loss will not be regarded as ideological.

I spoke to a retired police officer who was in one of Bernie's homes.

He said it was an absolute pigsty, and it stunk.

Yep. Nobody likes Bernie was a tell.

Over the Hill’s biggest challenge is to stay alive until November.

IMHO Tulsi Gabbard has the ability to fool both left and right voters into voting for her in 2024.

Miss Hillary Clinton?

I did not know that Hillary Rotten Clinton is single. The correct alternate word is Ms if you don't want to say Mrs

How great would it be to find out AOC voted for the Donald!

Eva Peron-Cortez is angling to be the natural successor to lead the Bernie Bros.

Someone once asked George Wallace why he kept campaigning for President. He said because he gets $1 million every campaign.

My guess is that since Bernie got a free house of the 2016 election, he wants to pad his retirement as well, and $40,000,000 isn't a bad nest egg.

So, when the Bernie campaign is murdered, will the cities burn?

Will pinch be assassinated for his bloody hands in the murder?
