“Alexander alone is not the “Republicans” plural.”

Later in the article: “Senator Rob Portman, Republican of Ohio, said in a statement late last week that while some of Mr. Trump’s actions were “wrong and inappropriate,” they did not “rise to the level of removing a duly-elected president from office and taking him off the ballot in the middle of an election.”

“Just because actions meet a standard of impeachment does not mean it is in the best interest of the country to remove a president from office,” said Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida.”

Know what would shake them up and straighten them out? A peaceful revolution. Moderate Dems and Republicans need to switch parties and take over the independent party in mass, make it conservative again as it was meant to be, and become larger than the other two parties. “This is what you get for not truly representing our interests”. Just a concept rumor this might happen would have them ALL worried about losing their secure “tenured” incumbency. It would stop the “uniparty” direction they are headed.
