I’m stunned.
I’ve been a 3-5 pack/day Marlboro smoker for 50+ years, and have COPD, but down to 1/2 pack a day, now.
I just came in from the garage after having a smoke, and caught his announcement.

I am in total shock. I had turned off the broadcast just before he announced it...thought the show was over.

My husband and I lost a friend to lung cancer..he fought it for two years with new treatments and he succumbed to this evil cancer! My heart breaks!! Advanced is not good!!

I'm so sorry to hear that, Rose. I'm VERY worried, too, about that word "Advanced" regarding Rush's diagnosis. :-(

Same here. I remember when I heard about Rush's hearing loss, I was driving. I had to pull over to the side of the road, I was so shocked. I think that's what Mark Levin just said when he learned of Rush's cancer diagnosis: He had to pull over to the side of the road.

I happened to be home today, but was on my way out. I dropped *everything* when I heard Rush's shocking news. :-(

Got my dad to quit his 20 year habit in the 70s.

When he was diagnosed with cancer in 2000 he started smoking again. LOL!

He passed in 2010.

I've always thought the loss of Andrew Breitbart doomed the 2012 election.

Thanks for the link. You know, I now remember how confused Mark Steyn was when he was talking about Rush’s absences. He even made a joke that he didn’t know what was going on. He was obviously being kept in the dark. Funny how a beautiful day has suddenly become very dark.

I've always thought the loss of Andrew Breitbart doomed the 2012 election.

I don't know... Mittens Romney had a lot to do with that. BUT losing Andrew Breitbart was a tremendous loss to *our side* -- conservatism.

So many FReepers believe conspiracy theories about Breitbart's death. Nobody killed him... he died of a heart attack.

My husband and I (and some other people) were hanging out with Andrew after CPAC 2012 at the CPAC venue's bar. Hubby wanted to buy him a drink. Andrew said "Thank you... Well, all I can have is a Cabernet (red wine). That's what my cardiologist tells me."

He definitely had heart problems...

IT'S not good ..when they tell you stage 4 it's spread and there ain't really nothing they can do but keep you comfortable or treatments to prolong your life for a few months! When I heard him say all is well between him and God this to me reminds me of my sister and friend when they knew their fight was almost over😢😢😢😢GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!! Rush was like a family member to us... NOT FREAKIN FAIR!!
