I see two takeaways with this... your point about the biased and corrupt media is the first. The second is that I truly believe that Joe thought he would get a laugh out of what he said. The problem is that it wasn't just 'an awkward attempt at humour', it puts his entire ability to think on his feet and decision-making clearly on display. How on earth could anyone vote for him after seeing that display.

This was a sexist attack on a woman that simply asked a question. Where are the women on the left that should come to her defense?

It would be if ABC, CBS, CNN, etc., bothered to talk about it.

Quid Pro Joe asked the young lady if she had been to a caucus.
She said “yes”.
Then Joe got angry and insulted her.
Did he challenger her to pushups?
I've seen that happen where someone is really nasty and insults someone else and then laughs at it and calls it a joke, as if it's OK.
But it's not really OK.
What it is is a ploy to be able to genuinely insult others and never be held accountable for it.
It does not mean what was said is OK, ever. He can laugh all he wants and claim it's a joke but words are words and can hurt anyways. His attitude towards it does not ameliorate the damage done.
Punish Biden for discourtesy.

She asked him a basically harmless question and Biden lashed out at her using insults. If any Republican had done anything remotely similar this would splashed out on the headlines of the MSM 24.7.
No liberal with any self respect would vote for Biden.
Responses like this are why Don Imus used to love having Senator Joe Biden on his radio broadcasts. Imus and Bernie would taunt him and try to get him to say things just like this. Then they would play these soundbites over and over.
I used to love it when they had Joe on because he actually seemed like a regular guy. He would let his guard down and many times Imus would get him to say something politically not correct. Imus was great at baiting him.
Biden, in another fit of senility, called someone at one of his rallies, a lyin’ dog-faced pony soldier. This is supposed to be a John Wayne line. But anyone my (75) - or Biden’s - age should have known that dog face was a slang term for WWII infantry and pony soldiers were post Civil War US cavalry. Pretty sure that would not get a pass if a Republican said something as demeaning as that including the US military references.
Did he consider this an insult?
Joe “plagiarizes” from a movie.
Joe wouldn’t know a pony-soldier ( Royal Canadian Mounted Police) or a dog-face (WWII Infantryman) if they kicked his ass.
