In January 2012, Pete Buttigieg stepped into the South Bend, Ind., mayor’s office... South Bend had three African Americans in visible high level and public leadership positions: Mayor’s Assistant Lynn Coleman; Fire Chief Howard Buchanon and Police Chief Darryl Boykins.
Within three months, all would be gone.
In 2011, after the city’s police telephone recording system crashed, SBPD Communications Director Karen DePaepe discovered recordings of white officers allegedly using racist rhetoric and concocting a way to get rid of Boykins with the help of top donors to Buttigieg’s then-ongoing mayoral campaign.. One officer allegedly said: “It will be a fun time when all white people are in charge.”
Even though the recording system had been in place for more than a decade, its existence somehow became the black guy’s fault.
According to Boykins’ eventual racial-discrimination lawsuit, Buttigieg’s chief of staff, Mike Schmuhl, “with Buttigieg’s full and conspiratorial agreement,” told Boykins the feds were investigating him and the only way for Boykins to avoid prosecution was to resign as South Bend police chief.
That was not true.
...the U.S. attorney wrote the city, explaining before Boykins was demoted, “We advised [the city] that our primary concern was that the SBPD practices comply with federal law.” The phone calls, the top prosecutor wrote, were “mistakenly recorded.”
Boykins would later say that he felt “threatened and intimidated” by Buttigieg. After contemplating his decision, Boykins rescinded his resignation and was subsequently demoted by Buttigieg. Buttigieg fired DePaepe for her role in the scandal.
So what happened to the white officers who were heard on the recordings?
Captain Brian Young went on to lead the county’s Special Victims Unit.
Dave Wells became the commander of the County’s drug unit.
Tim Corbett, the county’s homicide commander, ran for Sheriff.
Steve Richmond retired and moved to Michigan.

Another attempt by conservative strategists to win by pinning racism charges on Democrats using THEIR definition of racism. Blacks aren’t going to be fooled by this. We need to be telling blacks — and anybody else who’ll listen — how MAGA helps them and socialism crushes them.

Five years ago, while walking home after buying candy and soda, Trayvon Martin was lynched in public by an overzealous, half-crazy, racist neighborhood watchman who was not in the neighborhood watch. He was killed by a grown man who stalked him with a gun and—after being told by a 911 operator to leave Trayvon alone—somehow shot the teen in the chest.
Notice how much of the above is opinion stated as fact.
Notice the factually false statements: George Zimmerman was not a racist, which has been repeatedly documented.
The 911 operator did not tell George to "leave Trayvon alone".
Also, the facts that came out at the trial are ignored:
George Zimmerman did not "somehow shot the teen in the chest".
George Zimmerman shot Trayvon as Trayvon was attempting to kill him by straddling him and smashing his skull into the sidewalk.
It is hard to take anything from The Root seriously.
Under Mayor Pete, the SB police department went from 11% to 6% black.

It’s a long article detailing many race problems.
If they are attacking a left wing Democrat (who could end up being the nominee), then there is a problem.
Normally, these type of left wing publications ignore the left’s actions, no matter how bad.

The Mayor has an invisible, a huge force behind him that has put him in front and that is the homosexual lobby. It is large, and it is powerful, and it is ruthless. All of those attributes have been used extensively.
Why shouldn’t we use it?
Why should we NOT make the left live up to its own set of rules?
Why should we give the left a pass when they break their own rules?
