Mike Bloomberg had a terrible night at the Las Vegas debate. On that point, I’m in agreement with the conventional wisdom.
I’m not in agreement that he is done as a candidate, assuming he’s still willing to spend an additional half-billion dollars on advertising, paying social media ‘influencers’ to hype him, and buying up Democrat policitians and media...
...Bloomberg’s reason to be in this contest is to be the last non-Bernie non-Warren candidate standing.

Americans, in particular Democrat voting Americans, tend to be, uh, distracted. (I’m being charitable).
Bloomberg’s money and slick ads will power him through horrible debates, a lack of detectable personality, and past serious mistakes.
I’ll be very surprised if the DNC doesn’t screw Bernie again. Then the fun begins!
It is living proof that votes can be bought.
Bernie will be done, whether he likes it or not. He’ll actually like the new house he gets. So he’ll throw a fake fit and take the money and run. Good commie that he is.
Warren won’t win. But she forever linked Mike Bloomberg with Harvey Weinstein and non disclosure agreements used by powerful wealthy men to hide their misdeeds.
Individual debates do not have any long term impact. They have a day or two impact then people forget them and it is on to the next thing. Bloomberg’s good or poor performance in this debate will have little impact on his super Tuesday vote. His money matters more.
Quoting Tom Servo, commenting on a different Bloomberg thread on LI, “the biggest reason this debate is so deadly for Bloomberg – he just showed everyone on the Dem side that Trump will wipe the floor with him in any debate between the two of them. If Lizzie Warren can cut him to shreds, of course the Donald will be able to.”
This is what is going to get the leftists pundits to start resurrecting Warren.
I think he just sees the debates as a necessary evil.
Something I heard applies here as well:
Candidates don’t drop out because they don’t have the votes. They drop out because they run out of money. Bloomberg will not be running out of money...
Next debate is in 5 days. This is round two. Nothing is over.

Before last night Bloomberg saw himself climbing over the prostate bodies of Warren and Biden on his way to his final confrontation with Sanders. Then as in some lame movie just as he was climbing over the nearly dead Warren, she summoned the strength to lunge at him and stab him with a fatal blow. He may still be walking but Bloomberg is now clutching his wound and is dying.
I had to laugh at how Bernie justified his three houses last night.
He may not be done. But Mini Mike will have to spend another 300 million
just to counter his terrible debate performance.
I have a house in Washington, and my residence in Vermont. Like many Vermonters, I also have a summer cabin. And a nice Georgian in Martha's Vineyard, or maybe Greenwich. I mean really nice... and big.
