Just out of curiosity, FReepers, how many of you have had politicians speak in your church? I don’t mean to rent the space, but to actually speak to the congregation on a Sunday morning. Nothing like this ever happens in my church.
Only time I remember it happening we had guy who was a member of the church running for the School Board (he ended up winning), the Pastor let him get up one Sunday and talk for a few minutes about why he was running. But that is the only time in over thirty years I can remember any politician being invited to speak.
“Just out of curiosity, FReepers, how many of you have had politicians speak in your church?”
I am repeating my earlier post because it answers this:
Why is he giving a campaign speech at a Sunday Worship Service? Last time we did anything political in our church buildings, not Sunday Worship, we were told that we cannot do it and keep our tax exempt status.
Also, why would any minister divert part of the time set aside for Christ to be used by politicians?
