Dog pads made in the USA were being stocked up on more than normal at my Costco. A pallet that normally has one or two boxes gone whenever I buy them suddenly only had six left after I took 4.
the only other time they have not had a big pallet full is when they were recalled.
2002 - West Nile was going to kill us all. Don’t go out without DEET and long clothing
2004 - SARS was going to kill us all
2005 - Bird Flu was going to kill us all
2009 - Swine Flu was going to kill all of us! And limit bacon supplies
2014 - Ebola landed, and was going to kill us all
2016 - Zika was going to kill us all.....
Won’t ever happen.
The average person out there will be out of household supplies and food in less than a week. Particularly paycheck-to-paycheck apartment dwellers.
The National Guard will end up making Amazon deliveries.

Very few apartments in this part of the world share a communal ventilation system. Most have a separate system per apartment unit.
We bought a months worth of canned food at Sams Club yesterday and already have 2 months on hand plus two freezers full of beef.

The boy down the street was very good in school and his dream job was to work for the CDC. After finishing college he got his dream job at the CDC and moved to Atlanta. The following summer, I was driving by his parents house and he was cutting the grass. I stopped and said, “Peter, I though you were in Atlanta at the CDC.”
He answered, “I was, but people get sick and die there too often, so I quit before it was me.”
I asked him what he does now. He works for a local company that makes Mentholatum.
I take two medications. I have a 15 month supply of the most essential and a 5 month supply of the other. Which is all I can have because it has a short shelf life.
So how are bills going to be paid if your quarantined for a month of more?
Got prepared. Have plenty of Corona and lime on tap. Ready to party!

Do we have quarantines for pneumonia? 50,000 deaths per year, 5% death rate of infected people.

Don’t be fooled by stats. This number probably INCLUDES the 50,000 deaths from plain old pneumonia.

Excellent article! This is why I’ve stocked up as well. Every other country where this goes HAS instituted regional, local or even national quarantines. It’s folly to think that won’t happen here.
Some places said to stockpile water. Water? What, is our water supply going to be cut off somehow? It doesn’t make sense.
