SEATTLE - The novel coronavirus tightened its grip on Washington state Tuesday, with nine deaths reported and at least 25 total cases confirmed statewide.
Eight deaths have been reported in King County, and one in Snohomish County, health officials said.
One of the deaths confirmed Tuesday happened six days ago at Harborview Medical Center, but the coronavirus diagnosis wasn't made until well after the person's death, said Harborview spokesperson Susan Gregg.

Listen up noob. I’m not cheering for ANY deaths or sickness from this crap. I’ve got a wife who is Chinese and a mom who is in her late 70s and has COPD. So I’ve got two loved ones with underlying conditions that are part of this virus.
I don’t give a damn what you think, but if you try to tell people that this is nothing, you’re not only an idiot, but you’re a danger to others.
There are tons of peer reviewed scientific reports of how this virus spreads and kills. I read them daily, translating many of them from Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. Those reports paint s far more grim picture of this than you glibly paint for whatever reason.
I understand the underlying financial and political ramifications of this virus quite well.
That’s why I’m trying to tell everyone I can to be extremely careful of this virus. Pretend it is aerosol. In my Army days we trained quite frequently for chemical warfare, and I was unlucky enough to spend time in MOPP IV for real nerve agent exposure. It is far safer to assume all surfaces and humans are infected, than to glibly (and stupidly) pretend they are not.
I hope and pray that this virus is nothing more than the flu or common cold, but I watched what my relatives endured in China. This ain’t the flu. And I’ll be the first to be over joyed if the summer sun kills this thing, or when a vaccine makes it irrelevant. Until then, I’m going to spread scientific data as I read it, and argue with deniers like you.

“recovered” is the ambiguous data point. You have to know the true number of infected to know its value.
The left is definitely trying to blame the President for a pandemic that was born in China , and this administration has done an excellent job of trying to contain.
We won’t put up with the draconian measures that China has taken.
Containment is a fools errand.
But local level officials need to do better on protecting first responders and the public. King County WA has done a terrible job, while the press pins it on Pres Trump. 40,000 at a soccer game in Seattle this weekend shows my issue with King County.

China says the virus is slowing down. So is it all over now? Back to normal?
