I actually read that there were a few left even in the past several years.
They only ever had 12 to 20 guys at any given time time, depending how many were in prison.
But they were all complete psychopaths and the FBI went to the Italian mob boss, who had given the Westies permission to make hits on the east side also, and the FBI asked the Italian mob boss to tell the Westies to stop killing so many people

I dunno. It’s all very dated, since the cartel drug rings and Latin American gangs are the in crowd now, and the Mafia just does penny ante rackets, like enforcing a monopoly on garbage pickup in some neighborhoods, or running numbers. Jewish mafia? Westies? Probably no longer exist. Still a big Russian mob, though.
