Following another round of devastating primary losses on Tuesday, Bernie Sanders delivered a statement to the media from Burlington, Vermont. The one-time frontrunner was facing calls to drop out, with some are already declaring the race over. But Sanders made it clear that he's not going anywhere, saying he looks forward to debating Joe Biden on Sunday, and telling the former vice president directly that he has questions he expects him to answer during that debate.
Sanders began his speech with an anti-Trump tirade. “Tragically, we have a president today who is a pathological liar, and who is running a corrupt administration. he clearly does not understand the constitution of the united states, and thinks that he is a president who is above the law,” he said. “In my view, he is a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, a xenophobe and a religious bigot, and he must be defeated, and I will do everything in my power to make that happen.”
After getting all those adjectives out of the way, he finally acknowledged, "Last night, obviously was not a good night for our campaign from a delegate point of view." Sanders noted that despite his deficit of votes and delegates, "we are strongly winning in two enormously important areas which will determine the future of our country." He cited exit polls that show Democrat voters support his "progressive agenda," including raising the minimum wage, tuition-free college, and Medicare for all. He also noted that his campaign has the support of younger voters.

Too funny coming from a communist who says communism is wonderful for people and a boon for freedom. A communist who would toss the constitution right into the shredder on inauguration day. A Stalinist who says the law is what he makes it at any given moment.

Joe got to lots of rest periods at the multi candidate debates. It’s going to be a whole new world at a 2 man debate.

The consensus on this thread is Bernie will take apart Biden. That may indeed happen but I could easily see the opposite happening. It’s not like Bernie is bulletproof and is running a flawless campaign. Joe as we know has had many moments but he has also been adequate among the crowded debates. Adequate being a relative term of course. They both seem to have thin skins and lose their cool when attacked. Maybe they’ll both destroy each other and the debate results will be a wash.
Please drag this out all the way into their conventions 3rd and 4th ballots.

Bernie is a rabid commie and it amazes me how so many Americans support the turkey, it’s evident to me the majority of them weren’t around during the cold war.
It will be like watching seated badminton.

No living memory of the Depression, WW II, the Cold War, fighting communist expansion in N. Korea and Viet Nam. It’s just another “lifestyle.”

If you (not you personally) were a democratic voter, wouldn’t you be completely discouraged that these are the only choices you have and just sit it out? I would think voter turnout would be abysmal.
I’ve read a lot of general comments (not at FR) that people feel really bad for him that no one is telling Biden that he needs to stop because he’s obviously ill.
What democrat voter would vote for him, knowing that the VP choice or whomever the DNC puts in place, will not be the voters’ choice? You’d be voting for an unknown. Why would they do that?
