I’m calling FAKE NEWS. San Francisco Chronicle? If there were a situation that required isolation of the ship - why not go to sea and have support craft do UNREPS and medevacs and things like that. How much more isolation can you get 20 miles off shore?
I think Captain meant isolating the crew from each other, you know social distancing. This would be hard to accomplish while under way.
