Someone saying something will be between 86K and 509K is lying. Such a distance actually means they really don’t know what the number will be, and their “models” are not and cannot tell them.
They may have put numbers in for the likelihood of infection with such-and-such sort of social distancing with such-and-such level of compliance. But I have yet to see a model described where “such-and-such” is clearly defined, let alone what those numbers are and how they arrived at them. It’s all black magic, don’t ask, they’re the experts.
I also don’t know how “social distancing” morphed into “shut down any business that the Governor thinks is non-essential”. Where is even a computer model, good or bad, that addresses that?
