I do not know him that well but he appears to be a drama queen and he’s doing this for the ratings. He’s a healthy (relatively) young man without any preexisting conditions that would make him vulnerable. What he is describing is a bad cold and everyone had experienced that at least one time in their lives.

He’s taking homeopathic quinine, which is the basis for hydrochloriquine. You can also buy extract of quinine or drink gin and tonics without the gin to get some quinine in you.
So, in other words he did NOTHING, just rode it out.
