President Donald Trump said he will give a commencement speech at West Point, a U.S. military academy in New York.....Trump told reporters in Washington Friday that cadets will be spread out to comply with social distancing guidelines amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Vice President Mike Pence was traveling to Colorado Springs Saturday to deliver remarks at the U.S. Air Force Academy graduation.....No spectators are allowed because of the pandemic....Pence was slated to give his speech online but it was changed to an in-person commencement on Tuesday. The speech will be live-streamed online starting at 1 p.m. Pacific Time.
It will also include the first class to commission officers into the U.S. Space Force, an agency created by Trump.

Hmmmm. Wonder how the MSM will find a way to condemn the CIC for endangering the entire uniformed service for this one.

Further reference in the same piece can use “West Point”.
Colloquially, for those personally associated, “The Point”, not to be used by others in general conversation.

I was an ROTC commissionee, my favorite term for the trade school is “Sodom on the Hudson.”
I met some outstanding officers who commissioned out of the Academy, but also a few real wastes of skin who thought an academy ring made them infallible.
Congrats to the new Second Lieutenants. Once you get home after graduation, put those damn rings up, shut the h—l up. No one wants to here about how awesome you are. You aren’t in school anymore, you’re in the real Army now. Listen to the NCOs and Captains who are going to try and teach you how not to get your troops killed.
For any Colorado Freepers, if you haven’t already heard, the Thunderbirds are going to fly a route over the entire Front Range, from Fort Collins to Pueblo, this afternoon from 12:50 pm Mountain Time (Greeley) to 1:45 pm over Colorado Springs/Pueblo. The flyover is to thank Colorado health care workers and other first responders. There is a map of the route on the Thunderbirds Twitter feed, as well as on various local TV stations’ websites.
That’ll be a sight to behold!
