Late Monday night President Donald Trump tweeted that he would be halting immigration to the United States during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. He expanded on that decision during Tuesday's White House Coronavirus Task Force briefing, saying immigration will be suspended for the next 60 days.
Failed presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke (D) took to Twitter to criticize the president's decision. Beto made the claim that Trump is "attempt[ing] to distract us from his total mismanagement" of the Wuhan coronavirus.

So many in TX are still mesmerized by this Beto character. They really think he is an Hispanic who cares about “the little people.”
Beto should have read Trump’s EO a little more carefully before commenting. This is close to the minimum amount that could have been done to stem the tide of immigration. It is barely a blip on the map. So, Trump does very little here to help the American workers, while at the same time generates a ton of bad press. The latter is always a given, but at least give them a reason to bitch and moan.
