All the better to foist the progeessive’s veganism on us.
It’s going to be a hard five years. The economy has been destroyed by our response. However, we are like a guy jumping from the top of a 20 story building and yelling, as he passes the 10th floor, “so far, so good!” And the pavement is rapidly approaching.
But right now we are in the “enjoying the wind in our hair” phase. The slow motion impact will probably start in a couple of months.

Then the federal government should seize the damn plants and get things running. Im getting very tired of this BS. That will get Tysons attention and incentivize them to know off the garbage.
Follow the money. Somebody needs to look into this guys investments and stock portfolio.
I smell shite. None of these plant closings has any reason to be permanent. It’s a temporary thing while they decontaminate, add some safety measures like plexiglass barriers between workers, and most of all, the infected workers (99% of them) get better and go back to work.
This isn’t like the plants all burning down, or suddenly chickens going extinct. Just don’t sell the portion we were going to sell to the ChiComs, and tell them they can eat more cats and bats for the time being.
well finally the insect burger people will be at it.
to continue the doom gloom

The fact that he took out an advertisement to do this, makes it very suspect. This guy is going to cause another panic.
Did people stop eating?
They have nobody to blame but themselves... They failed to protect their workers and now they need to close plants because their workforce is full of Corona... They should have masked and gloved all their workers immediately... They didn’t and now they’ll be out of business.
Who cares if millions die, so long as it saves a single life?
Hard to believe all the comments regarding politics.
I live in a beef and hog producing state. Somehow the comments here fail to understand the point that thousands and thousands of cattle and hogs are either being or facing being euthanized (killed and destroyed for those of you living in Rio Linda). Ranchers and farmers that raise the livestock can’t continually producing and feeding the livestock with no place to ship them.
It seems that even many conservatives thinks food comes from the grocery store.
This is much ado about ... November. Propoganda.
So what is the real problem here?
Workers?
Are they being kept out because of forced government plant closures, quarantining at home or are they afraid to work?
In the first case, reopen them. They’re essential.
In the second case, ensure they are listed as essential workers.
In the last case, offer them more pay. I’d gladly pay for increased meat prices due to wage increases now than shortages later. If the price is right, people will go back to work even with a risk.
Unless this is a back door way for the plant owners to get more illegals let in...
Food supply chain is breaking
Or not.
