A Washington barber defied Gov. Jay Inslee’s “stay-at-home” order on Saturday and opened his shop to a long line of supportive customers.
Bob Martin, a former Marine who has operated the barbershop for over five decades, initially followed the directive and closed shop for about a month, Q13 FOX reported. As the order dragged on and money became tight, Martin said he reopened in secret and cut hair without turning the lights on.
It appeared Martin would have to remain closed for the near future after Inslee on Friday extended the state’s stay-at-home order through May 31. Under his four-phase plan to reopen the state, barbershops and hair salons wouldn’t open until Phase 2, which is not expected to begin for several weeks.

This is ridiculous. What could possibly be dangerous about allowing a barber or hairstylist to get back to work provided that gloves and masks be worn by that person while doing their job?

They don’t need gloves or masks! Lets stop the fearmongering! Healthy people will survive this.
If the lady, who does my hair doesn’t return soon, my wife will be buying some sheep shears for my hair.

Black market haircuts.
I am near the same age as president Trump. My hair is thicker than his and will soon be long enough to comb my hair like him.
The black barber shop is a cultural institution for black men. Most white barbers do not now how to cut a black man’s hair. A lot of black players for the Green Bay Packers complained that they could not find a barber in Green Bay who could cut give them a good haircut.

But the truth is, this virus is a scam, and the likelihood of illness is exactly the same as years before.

I’ve already cut my own hair with manicure scissors. It doesn’t look as nice as when a professional does it (I ended up taking off more than I originally intended) but I needed to get my bangs out of my eyes. It’s not like anybody other than my husband is going to see me anytime soon.

I'm young and healthy but having had pneumonia at the age of 11 I'll take a hard pass on being used as a guinea pig in this herd immunity experiment.

And how is an apparently healthy person supposed to know if s/he is an asymptomatic carrier or not? Incubation period for CV can be as long as 2 weeks. How many people do you pass within 6 feet of in the space of 2 weeks?
