""Ahmaud did not take anything from the construction site," the family's lawyers said in a statement. "He did not cause any damage to the property. He remained for a brief period of time and was not instructed by anyone to leave but rather left on his own accord to continue his jog. Ahmaud's actions at this empty home under construction were in no way a felony under Georgia law.""

I've mentioned before that if the owner of the home under construction did not file a complaint or press charges, then technically, Arbery did not commit a crime that day and the McMichaels had no reason to go after him.

“McMichaels had no reason to go after him.”

According to the law, “technically,” he didn’t have to have committed any crime at all.

How could they know at the time the incident occurred that the owner would not file charges?

When you see a house being burglarized should you call the owner to make sure he wants you to call the police?

“ if the owner of the home under construction did not file a complaint or press charges, then technically, Arbery did not commit a crime that day and the McMichaels had no reason to go after him.“

That is something an ass would say. When you see some dipshit leave your property have you had time, in the heat of the moment, to file anything with a court?

Your logic is both sad and despicable.

So why was a 911 call made?

As I have mentioned on other threads, the contractor maintains liability insurance on their projects. If someone is on a site, with permission or without, gets injured, they can sue, the owner, that general contractors, the sub-contractors. I am not saying anything justified anyone shooting anyone. What I am saying is that someone with no business on a construction site has no business on a contruction site.

“continue his jog”

Everything else this guy said may be right but I’m not buying this. He wasn’t jogging. I wish the case could be dealt with without this particular bit of horse crap.

The owner of that home has now outed himself as an easy target for criminals.

I think you swerved into it. If you believe a crime is being committed ... call the police.

Misdemeanor trespassing, automatic if a cop had rolled up while he was walking in.

Owner sounds like a white person who feels guilty for being privileged.

Ahmaud Arbery was caught on camera breaking into an unfinished property that was owned by Larry English.
His mother has confirmed it is him in the video.
Please stop with the “just a jogger” bull-hit narrative.

The McMichaels didn’t own that property nor did they see Arbery commit a felony on that property nor did they have immediate knowledge that Arbery committed a felony there. The owners of the home under construction said that Arbery did not commit a felony on their property.

He only called the cops because he wanted everyone to be safe on his property? Owner sounds like he wants to cover his a$$ from a black lash.

Where is your evidence that Arbery broke into the place? The person who called 911 said the place was open.
