It's not Fauci's decision on when schools open, or Trump's either. State decision.
Or local, even.
The genius of the American system of government (which still holds sway in the red counties and states) is in sheer pragmatism of making local decisions at the local level, and only delegating power to higher levels when necessary. EG, the main job of the Federal government should be national defense.
Granted, that principle has been eroded almost beyond recognition, but this is a perfect example of where the system can still work as originally intended.
Plus, this puts the heat back on the blue state governors, where it belongs.
