On Trump-Hatred

It’s not rocket science to say the beginning of Trump hatred came from the Clinton campaign. He was once feted in New York, even by liberals. How did it change from high regard to hated? One thing is clear, dislike was instant once Trump entered the race as a Republican, increased as he ran, and took a quantum leap forward when he won the election. To this day the hatred has grown on a level hardly thought possible.

It has now become common for leftists to accost those who differ by going into hysterics. Hysterics often exhibiting shrieking about how Trump lies, and how he’s the most awful person in the world. This has become somewhat normative for the left. I have personally witnessed many left-leaning individuals who act otherwise sane, erupt in reckless anger, going on diatribes of how Trump lies. All the time. This malicious soul eating anger, its zeal, its unbridled passion is something exhibited by most leftist elites, yet excused.

It’s beyond over the top, it’s beyond unsetting, but there it is for all to see. Well, quite clearly a lot of people on the left don’t see, or even have a clue what it is doing to them. Not to mention our entire country.

I am not speaking of debate forcefully expressed, or of passionate opposition. I am speaking of hostile, irrational, blood boiling, bug eyed, beyond the pale, unstable, demented, wild, aberrant insanity. That’s what we have witnessed since Donald Trump entered politics. This hatred increasing with every successful Trump accomplishment and every failed attempt to remove him from office.

This is what we are dealing with. I call it the Gadareen principle, after the story of the crazed man that Jesus healed. Like the Gadareen, leftists have become possessed. Possessed by hatred.

I had originally thought some of this was overblown till it happened to me. Visiting my mom for her birthday, my younger brother showed up and everything was quite congenial until Trump came up. (I had bought a camo Trump cap for stepdad who was raving about how much the Amish loved his cap)

My brother went totally ape**** and started raving about some of the same stuff this author talks about.

The whole family was quite stunned by his reactions.

It actually started with Sarah Palin.

After she left the stage (and after 3 years of TDS, who knows what threats to her were made behind the scenes), the intensity percolated rather than die down.

So when the Donald threw his hat into the ring, the Leftists were already simmering. It didn’t take much to bring them to their boiling point.

Trump is a brash businessman from Queens who built his business on negotiation and bravado.

It is just his shtick and he won’t change. I think all of us (me included) receive it within our own cultural norms and some just instinctively do not like it - much as Southerner’s are often put off by a NY accent and folks from New York immediately think anyone with a Southern drawl is a hick.

I also think we have been groomed throughout our life to have expectations of Presidential behavior. Trump has shattered that in many ways because he does not care. He got where he is by self-promotion and it is all he knows.

At this point, I will take him! He may not look the part, but he has acted in the interest of my children and myself far more than the central casting Presidential crowd. I still cringe at times, but the man gets things done like no other President in my lifetime!

Trump is an old school Republican. He is a protectionist, patriot and a nationalist. All three of those things were mainstream Republican values at one time.

You;re right, Palin did receive the same full court press as Trump. I remember it well.

She was great, fought it for a long time, but didn't have the strength that Trump has.

I'm not sure anyone could have survived as he has, considering what was thrown at him. He has a gift, an almost supernatural strength about him.

The Left Media promoted Trump during the 2016 primary. They thought he was a spoiler.

Think of the TDS afflicted as zombies and it all makes sense. They are The Walking Dead.

How did they get infected? The ChiCom paid propaganda machine spews an anti Trump narrative 7x24x365. Like Big Brother, the message is pounded into the head of the TDS afflicted. There is no cure. They are lost souls.

The Hate started with Reagan or Nixon—and has just grown to a point of irrationality. Many Democrats I have spoken to still believe Russia elected Trump and he is a Russian Agent—proven lie. Some believe Hillary won and was cheated out of the White House. The Media upped Trump because they saw him as the one that could be beaten easy. The “Pussy Tape” was to bury him in one blow. It didn’t work and this amazed the Democrats. Set off the anger. Now they have gone into warp speed to crush him—one way or another. Problem is Trump is without major scandal (or he’s good at covering it up) of note. Going to get worse before November—and, if Trump wins, it will be even crazier. I fear only assassination will be the next step.

Don’t blame hysterical women. The problem is a loss of hope, and trust in a supreme being - which we call God.

This hatred has morphed into what is a deadly sin. Most Democrats are not aware that they have been manipulated into seeing Trump as every form of evil. They no longer can distinguish truth from lies. That is a type of possession where rationality is lost.

I have tried to talk to otherwise nice people about the very real persecution of good Americans for expressing Christian values. When I mention Trump as a defender of religious liberty, they get angry and claim I just defend any and all things Republican. These folks are church goers, yet cannot see the evidence before their eyes nor hear it either.

I tell them the current Democrat party is not the party of their grandparents. They close their ears. I have tried to warn such people against the growth of bigger and bigger government, and that also falls on deaf ears, so discussing politics is impossible. They are possessed with hatred of Trump and now it includes all things Republican too.

They have a choice to hear or not.......still there are many self-blinded so that they simply cannot see or hear that which is obvious.

Additionally many are extreme liars and manipulators themselves, and the natural progression of that is utlimately not being able to distinguish truth from lies. Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi are prime examples of this.

It’s his style. It gets old. No matter how good the substance is, the brash salesmanship, the superlatives “It’s gonna be GREAT, the Best Ever’ and such, and the bling get really tiresome after a while.

I learned to embrace it because this is what makes their heads explode - what could be more entertaining!

I’m not sure ‘few are cured.’ of course, none in the democrat pary insiders are cured. They have a vested interest in neverTrumpism.

But I think a lot of people are cured. I was one of the Trump haters prior to the election. The minute I woke up and realized Hillary was NOT our president, I looked at Trump with gratitude and decided to give him a chance.

Once my hatred subsided, I looked at Trump and what he was doing and became a big fan. And, yes, I can watch a Trump speech for an hour and enjoy it.

I can’t stand it, but he gets done what needs to get done. As with Fox, I feel like I’m being talked down to, but I’ll bitch about it all the way to the bank with my tax cut :-)

I like Ike, pretty much the only POTUS I could stand in terms of style. But then I’m a former insurance geek; I can read *anything* written in English and understand it, I don’t like being told what is in a bill, or if it’s goo, just give me the text.
