Pelosi: 'Morbidly obese' was taste of Trump's 'own medicine'

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that she called President Donald Trump “morbidly obese” because he's put down women for their weight. And besides, she suggested, the president could lose a few pounds himself as the coronavirus bears down on the nation's capital.

“I gave him a dose of his own medicine. He’s called women one thing or another over time, and I thought he thinks that passes off as humor in certain cultures," Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. "I was only quoting what doctors had said about him, so I was being factual in a very sympathetic way.”

For the record, the president is obese, but not morbidly so. Pelosi on Monday called Trump “morbidly obese.” He responded by dismissing her as “a waste of time.”

Pelosi's level of sympathy is unclear. Even as the virus ravages Americans and the U.S. economy, the two are barely speaking to each other.

They have sparred since the beginning of the Trump presidency and more sharply since Pelosi ascended to the speakership in 2019, for the second time. The topics have ranged from the historic — a government shutdown and Trump's impeachment — to playground-quality name-calling and who has the last word.

But really, it's always been about who has more power, a commodity never more critical than during a pandemic that has killed more than 92,000 in the U.S. and left more than 36 million people looking for work. The spread of the coronavirus, which poses a greater risk of death for older adults and people with health problems, is still significant in Washington. Trump, 73, and Pelosi, 80, are working from opposite ends of Pennsylvania Avenue on what's expected to be another multitrillion-dollar rescue package.

However she remains a catholic in good standing receiving catholic sacraments in catholic churches

Only GOD knows if she is TRULY able to receive the Sacraments. The priests and Eucharistic ministers DO NOT ask the person receiving Holy Communion if s/he is in "good standing" with the Church.

There are SEVEN Sacraments.

1. Baptism -- BABIES are innocent so they are, without doubt, in "good standing." We receive this ONCE.

2. Reconciliation -- Children make their first confession when they are six or seven years old. I doubt if their sins rank as heinous. Making a good confession puts us in "good standing." We are obliged to go to confession once a year. We may go as often as we like.

3. Eucharist -- The Eucharist is the very sacrifice of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the Lord Jesus which he instituted to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages until his return in glory. Thus he entrusted to his Church this memorial of his death and Resurrection. It is a sign of unity, a bond of charity, a paschal banquet, in which Christ is consumed, the mind is filled with grace, and a pledge of future glory is given to us.
We are allowed to receive Holy Communion every day and even twice a day if we want. “After [receiving their First Communion], each of the faithful is obliged to receive holy communion at least once a year. This precept must be fulfilled during the Easter season unless it is fulfilled for a just cause at another time during the year” (Canon Law #920).

4. Confirmation -- Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation.
We receive Confirmation only once in our life.

5. Anointing of the sick -- Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of the Catholic Church that is administered to a Catholic "who, having reached the age of reason, begins to be in danger due to sickness or old age", except in the case of those who "persevere obstinately in manifest grave sin." It used to be call the Last Rites.
We may receive this as many times as necessary.

6. Marriage -- In a sacramental marriage, God’s love becomes present to the spouses in their total union and also flows through them to their family and community. By their permanent, faithful and exclusive giving to each other, symbolized in sexual intercourse, the couple reveals something of God’s unconditional love. Their life becomes sacramental to the extent that the couple cooperates with God’s action in their life and sees themselves as living “in Christ” and Christ living and acting in their relationship, attitudes and actions.
We are only allowed one marriage. If one is widowed s/he may remarry. Marriages from other faiths may or may not be accepted as per local bishop.
Marriages may also be annulled as per local bishop.

7. Holy orders -- The sacrament of holy orders in the Catholic Church includes three orders: bishop, priest, and deacon. Priests are able to preach, perform baptisms, witness marriages, hear confessions and give absolution, anoint the sick and celebrate the Eucharist or the Mass. Below relates this Sacrament fully.,
https://www.loyolapress.com/catholic-resources/sacraments/holy-orders/sacrament-of-holy-orders/
Although priests are priests forever in the "line of Melchizedeck" they are now allowed to retire at 70 years of age. They may even marry if they choose.

========================================

So Nancy Pelosi may or may NOT be a Catholic in good standing. I detest the woman but I am sure in no position to say that she is or isn't a Catholic in "good standing." Who am I to judge her heart? That is God's bailiwick.
Our good Lord will take that up with her when she...er...um, kicks the bucket.

I did this for the military and they used the tape besides weight amounts as they don’t do a complete job. Calipers were used as a backup.

Weight is inconclusive as it does not take into consideration bone structure, musculature, and body type (DNA) which in many cases is contributory to weight and fitness. We had a lot of people constantly fighting for their career when they lived off weight only. A perfect example is the body type of Pacific Islanders. They are strong, also, but their body shape was a problem and it is hereditary.

I was in on a court martial of a man that was being tossed for over weightness as a witness, AFR 35-11 procedures, to his workout program. When the prosecuting captain was finished, the defense major didn’t even say a word. He put up three easels and put pictures of the guy in competition for body building. There was one full colonel and two light colonels on the board, and the full colonel ask the JAG, “Are trying the throw him out?” When the captain started to speak, the colonel just glared at him and broke in and asked him do you wish to withdraw article 15 and summary court martial procedures. The jag said yes and ultimately a waiver from the squadron commander was established. This guy was huge. His body fat % was less than 5 and he was 6 feet and 240 pounds. Strong as a bull. His top weight number in the system at that time was 202 pounds at 72 inches. Over that was considered overweight. They now handle this on case by case.

Morbidly obese?

Thats rich coming from the most stretched face in America.

Pelosi is morbidly stretched.( plastic surgery)

In early April Pelosi had loose baggy facial skin, and now her facial skin is so tight that her eyes look almost oriental.

Pelosi is MORBIDLY STRETCHED.

That’s musch worse than being morbidly obese.

She's also morbidly socialist and frighteningly ugly. On the rare occasion she smiles, I can see her skull through that parchment she calls a skin.

All she's missing when she fronts the camera is the scythe.

Interesting example. No one should have their career put in peril because of faulty metrics. It’s good that it worked out well.

I’d love to hear Mr. Trump tell the witch “no matter how much Botox she uses, it just makes her look more and more like Bozo the Clown!”

Or “Nanzi is starting to resemble the crap on the streets of her home town”

“It’s good that it worked out well.”

In that particular case it did. But with the new exercise program the military has transitioned to, crossfit, both economically and training selections, they have created a new problem.

The old standards, post Vietnam, were based on appearance more than fitness. So the tests they set up were for trimness and gazelle. Unfortunately the requirement called for more rhino than gazelle as the act of carrying heavy equipment on a sprint like a ruck and arms, didn’t match up with sleek and maybe faster in gym shorts.

The military recognized the need for more core strength, but they didn’t adjust their appearance requirements to balance the change. They spent millions on equipment and training both trainers and unit command staff, but didn’t think to adjust to the new bodies. So more people were under the gun to do their job but look pretty in the meantime and there was no way to do that with what they were building.

On the good side for the military, the was an endless amount of people trying to get into the military due to recession and joblessness. So it became a revolving door and the quality of the troop went south with the constant need for retraining and loss. And a lot of troops, in the combat career fields in particular, either hit the road or got a deal with the commander if they were that good at what they did or who they were. And that’s where the real problems came into focus..it became a popularity contest in appearance, at least. And a lot of earned special duties, schools, or assignments were pulled due to overweight/fat standards so morale went south also and the business lost a lot of qualified people. Badly planned and implemented.
