WASHINGTON (AP) — A divided Supreme Court on Friday rejected an emergency appeal by a California church that challenged state limits on attendance at worship services that have been imposed to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Over the dissent of the four more conservative justices, Chief Justice John Roberts joined the court's four liberals in turning away a request from the South Bay United Pentecostal Church in Chula Vista, California, in the San Diego area.

That is exactly what I am thinking. Didn’t Roberts read the Constitution?

I think Peter Strzok read it to him, right before he taught him how to smirk.

Gee, thanks George W. Good to see all of the support conservatives threw your way is being repaid so handsomely.

Remember, W was a "compassionate conservative." In other words, he wasn't one.

If the Chief Justice is being blackmailed, why doesn’t he do the honorable thing and simply resign?

Part of the blackmail would be that he stays on the Court.

I admire Goldwater also.

I don’t believe in burying your head in the sand but I also don’t believe in warmongering.

I don’t believe Goldwater would support waging wars to overthrow regimes around the world, and dealing with the destabilizing effects, while killing thousands for 21 years and counting.

Even if we regain the House Roberts will not be impeached, let alone convicted.

Now ity will be up to the People to enforce the Constitution. Roberts just set the stage for violence, as if he was an Obama protege who follows Saul Alinsky’s Rules for radicals.

Freedom of Assembly is a Constitutional Right. So is the right to practice one’s religion. Now the church must take those rights and act on them.THE BALL IS IN THEIR COURT.

I’ll have to look up the man, though. :)

Well there goes the 1st amendment. Just change it with a court ruling. It is okay to murder children in the womb, but you cannot go to church which the framers said we could. Just another chunk of the RIGHTS of citizens chipped away. Stinking liberals. Roberts is a liberal in my eyes. Ever since he voted with Sammy Obammy with the “its a tax” BS.

You know what I think? I think Peter and Justice Roberts both love their Comet Pizza.
