Bull. It is hindsight to say there shouldn’t have been a lock down when no one at the time knew diddly squat about the dangers of this virus, and our gov’t as well as all others in affected countries were overwhelmed. We (thanks Obama) had no stockpiles of PPE, the hospitals were being slammed, and we initially had to buy some time. Hence Trump like all other country leaders except Sweden,shut down.
Trump would have been vilified from now to kingdom come if he had done otherwise at the time. But he wanted a short shutdown; unfortunately until he caught on to the supposed “experts”, he was under their sway. Now we all know better that the “experts” didn’t know what the heck they were talking about. He isn’t accommodating now and wants the entire country to open up. No one factored in how corrupt leaders in blue states would prolong opening back up because their Trump hatred “trumps” consideration for their own State citizens, as they will stoop to any means to get rid of Trump.
As to burning cities, Trump can’t send in the military (posse comitatus); however has a workaround of using MP’s (military police) that is legal if the States request them to come in, which so far hasn’t happened. Depends on how State National Guard/Police do tonight.
Cut Trump some slack here. He is once again fighting 2 battles (the virus, and the riots) while being under constant attack for any measures he may take by the corrupt MSM/Dems/Facsist/Commie/Pinko/Socialist/Anarchist slime. All while they tried to overthrow his Admin in a coup, while attempting to have him impeached.
This man has nerves of steel to be able to cope with all of the garbage that has been thrown at him. Ironman. A force of nature, and thank goodness we have him as President, especially when you ponder the alternatives. Lay off of him, he has enough problems without having his supposed allies sniping at him as well.
If this is Soros beating Trump, I’ll take more of it. The Democracts totally own these race-baiting riots. Trump is letting all of America see fascists at work, and they aren’t liking what they see. He is the only one taking action - the lefty Governors are either endorsing the disorder, if not overtly than tacitly.
