Resisted arrest.
Died from underlying medical condition and drugs in his system and not from asphyxiation.
Police used an approved restraint position.
But...but...the narrative.
Yes, the narrative must be maintained.
“approved restraint position”
First I’ve heard of that. You have a source?
I can see a knee in the back as restraint, but on the neck?
Actually, as far as I know, the knee to the side of the neck was disbanded as a technique some time ago, since the results could be death.
But not in a manner authorized by the department. No department suggests kneeling on the neck for eight or nine minutes. No department trains its officers to ignore the safety of the suspect while restraining them. Chauvin went way beyond what the department allows and his actions were in part responsible for Floyds death. His charges are warranted.
“Police used an approved restraint position.”
Absolutely NOT!
“Police used an approved restraint position.”
Absolutely NOT!
My oldest son is a LEO. He says that is NOT an approved restraint position in any department in the United States of America. I'll take his word for it.
