The Verizon-owned HuffPost over the weekend described the violent protests across the nation as an instance of “cop rage,” declaring “police violence nationwide” as rioters continue to engage in criminal activity, attacking officers and destroying businesses in their own communities.

The HuffPost, in a Sunday piece, declared that “police brutality was on full display” as violent protests enwrapped U.S. cities. Many of the protests — stretching from Santa Monica, California; to Tampa, Florida; to Indianapolis, Indiana — were characterized by Anfia-like displays of hatred and violence. Photos and videos from various cities nationwide tell a similar tale, showing scorched and shattered businesses and police vehicles.

No, I didn’t read past the headline, but good grief!
If anything, cops nationwide have exhibited nearly SUPERHUMAN levels of restraint and professionalism, in marked contrast to the depraved disregard for life & decency displayed by the “protesters” and the 4 rogue cops they claim to be protesting against but in fact are the same.
Well, if they’re going to accuse you of it anyway....

I don’t watch the news but my younger daughter who lives in California does and she saw what the articles says. We got into a small argument about it. It was a frustrating conversation to say the least.
I don’t understand how some people view things one way and some people see things in another way.
Even my small, very conservative town away from population centers and with virtually no Amish has sustained broken windows at a bank, clothing store, and car dealer in the last couple hours.
Leftism is kind of a religion. If it tells you that 1+1=3 and if you think it =2 then you aren’t “saved,” you will desperately tell yourself that 1+1=3 no matter what the evidence is.

In college I had a brilliant Russian history professor who said communism is ‘bastardized Christianity’ and the communist party is organized like the church. You just remove God, then substitute the state, with a deified leader like Stalin or Mao at the top of the hierarchy, and require the ‘masses’ to have faith & pray he’ll bless you.

My family lived in California in the 70s, surrounded by the militant gays, Black Panthers, & Communists, and I can tell you, the pressure to conform to the left’s worldview is relentless.
We left there but 1 of my sons went back to attend college, and he & I have had many disagreements similar to you & your daughter’s.
But in just the last year he seems to be coming around, especially after the coronavirus lockdown. He told me he’s gotten a taste of real socialism, and it ain’t like it’s advertised!
That makes me sad. Sorry to hear that.
What is she talking about? Is she sitting in some high-rise apartment imagining what is going on in the rest of the world?
In any case, she is wrong. It’s not the police who are the problem.
It’s mostly Obama’s children who are trashing everything in sight.
These pukes side with the rioters and looters until they are at thier gate and then they cry for police protection
