Two Brooklyn lawyers have been charged for allegedly tossing a Molotov cocktail into a New York Police Department vehicle early Saturday morning during a protest decrying the police killing of George Floyd.
Colinford Mattis, 32, a corporate attorney with Pryor Cashman, and attorney Urooj Rahman, 31, were charged with the attack where they threw the bomb into an empty police cruiser that was parked outside the 88th Precinct station house in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, cops say.

May not matter:
They face a mandatory minimum sentence of five years and a maximum of 20 years in jail.
Hopefully, after a long run in the slammer and dis-barring, they’ll make good pizza delivery drivers.
They would have been far better off in second or third tier schools, where they would have graduated but might have understood that they were not at the very top of their profession.
I think it is very frustrating for people who have been given a diversity pass when they are have been led to believe they are top-ranked, but the reality is that they are easily outclassed by others.
“Are the employers going to fire them or give them a raise?”
When I look at Pryor Cashman’s website, I don’t see either of the attorney’s name on their list.
That leads me to believe they’ve both gotten the axe. Good. Now all I want is for both of them to do a stint in prison for what they did.
Muchelle’s alma mater...
Unlike the Mooch, Counselor Mattis settled for NYU Law.
Miss Rahman, Fordham Law, was only admitted to the bar last year. I’m guessing she’s suffering from post-purchase dissonance with what most people consider the practice of law, and decided to adopt an outlying version of the practice of “law”.
Gee, you wonder what he spends all his money on...
Maybe the firm's favorite judge has a thing for red and white stripes?
There was that USSC justice, Douglas maybe, that would get annoyed at lawyers that wore button-down collars for some reason. Ergo, lawyers pleading cases before the USSC would be sure not to wear button-down collar shirts.
Not sure about red and white striped ties, though.
Try them, convict them, send them to prison for a long, long time and disbar them. In short, throw the book at them so they can never make a living again.
Two less lawyers if convicted of a felony. So many more to go!
I would venture to say... you are correct
irritating for sure.
Is it a felony? Huh? Huh? Is it? Disbarment is automatic if it’s a felony! Please let it be a felony! Please!

These two want to talk about privilege? Ha ha ha ha....
I’m sure they’re smart and worked hard to get where they are/were(maybe), but nothing spells hypocrisy better than rich folks doing stuff like this and then going back to their Brooklyn Brownstone to sip some chardonnay while they pat themselves on the back for being such revolutionaries.
When your thinking does not match that desired by your betters and becomes known, it becomes crime.
Nothing will happen to them. They have already been bailed out.
It will be pled down to a Misdemeanor and I doubt they will serve any Jail Time. Maybe they will have to pay restitution.
As far as Disbarment, that will happen as soon as the Obama Coup Leaders are hanged.
Hate is a Motive, it isn’t a Crime.
Hate Crime Laws are 100% Unconstitutional, period.
...according to them.
