RICHMOND, Va. (AP) – Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam is expected to announce plans Thursday for the removal of an iconic statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from Richmond’s prominent Monument Avenue.
A senior administration official told The Associated Press that the governor will direct the statue to be moved off its massive pedestal and put into storage while his administration seeks input on a new location.

Logically, this is just another step in the Left’s constant push to erase all vestiges of the Civil War.

Jackson’s statue needs to go.
Stuart’s statue needs to go.
Davis’s statue needs to go.
Maury’s statue needs to go.
In their mind, they couldn’t get rid of Lee w/o getting rid of the others. But they’re smart. They know that an attempt to rid Monument Avenue of all Confederate-related statues would spark huge pushback.
They’ll bid their time and then go for the rest.

How long before Colonial Williamsburg is demolished? After all, a lot of the founding fathers were slave owners.
