He's on-the-air, and on-fire. Rated one of America's Top 6 Talk Radio Show Hosts: Chris Plante from WMAL in DC. His show is the "prep work" for many other shows. And, unlike the others, he pulls no punches, tells it like it is and doesn't take any BS from liberal, demonKKKrat, leftist, commie, socialist, fascist and anarchist callers. He's the guy we'd all like to sit down with and have a dbl-cheeseburger and a cold one, while talking about the state of America, and the crazies who are pulling the strings, behind-the-scenes. Get a fresh refill of your favorite coffee, a warm croissant, the Hoppe's Cleaning Kit for one of your favorite firearms, some mags to load, hang your "Trump 2020" sign in the front window, and settle-in for the next 3hrs of incisive, edgy listening fun.

Chris Plante joined the WMAL team after 17 years at CNN, including nearly ten years assigned to the Pentagon covering the U.S. military and intelligence community.
Chris was assigned variously as Pentagon Correspondent, Senior Producer for National Security Affairs, Military Affairs Producer and as an assignment editor. He travelled extensively for CNN covering defense related stories from Saudi Arabia in 1990 and Bosnia in 1995, to Vietnam, Indonesia, Africa and the remote corners of the former Soviet Union.
Chris received the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio and Television News Directors Association (RTNDA) for his reporting from the Pentagon during the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. In 2015, he won a Reed Irvine Award for Excellence in Journalism
Chris formerly hosted his own program on the The American Life television network, and nowadays makes frequent appearances on various cable news networks including the Fox News Channel, and the "Fake News" CNN and MSNBC Channels.
In his time with WMAL, Chris has helped raise significant amounts of money for charities like the Fisher House Foundation.
Representing the third generation of his family that has been on-the-air in radio and television, Chris brings a unique world-view, and largely conservative/libertarian values to his role as talk show host on WMAL.
Marching in lock-step with no politician, Chris says his political party is Practi-crat, because of my distinctly practical political leanings.

Good Morning!
WMAL is also on TuneIn for your smartphone.
Good Monday morning.
An American version of Mark Styne - so witty and funny!
Of all the talk radio show hosts I’ve heard, over the many years, I like him best.
Seems the last few days when Chris is getting to close to a third-rail subject the station suddenly starts having “technical glitches.” Seems pretty odd.
Hey Chris, if you lurk here......Jacob Frey is DC homegrown.
Graduated from Oakton HS in Vienna in 1999.

I agree that internal sabotage is afoot - I listen to Wash DC local station WMAL home of the Plante man. I cannot listen to the WMAL “news” breaks replete with the wisdom of Sanjay Gupta whom just this very morning CP exposed as a liar and a farce!!! The WMAL “news” breaks are antithetical to Chris Plante and all of the WMAL shows. Gleeful/bordering on orgasmic/cheer leader reporting in favor of all things anti American anti sanity ect. I silence all WMAL “news” breaks.
What we have in America is:
When people get used to preferential treatment,
equal treatment seems like discrimination.
Get over it, folks.
You get equal rights, not special rights.
I was thinking the same thing... maybe a DoS attack?
WMAL is now #1 in the DC market, and the sports station they put on their old AM frequency at 630 isn’t even in the top 20.
I said this would happen.
I never understood or listened to “sports stations”. It’s like listening to an “income tax advice” station. Soporific.

Here’s a Chris Planteism: “They really don’t understand the meaning of words.”
Today about Nancy Pelosi; “Looking like a burn victim...”
You know he is talking about Joe Biden skinny dipping around the female SS agents when he says “ “Cobra, cobra, cobra” (in a muffled, two-way radio tone). He claims this was the USSS code name for him walking around the the VP mansion in the buff.
Already got the “meaning of words”; will add the “cobra” one. Thanks.
There used to be a lot of business talk stations. There aren’t many anymore.
Occasionally (like the trade deadline or some such) I’ll flip to the sports station periodically for updates. Otherwise, I find them mostly useless. Pregame and postgame maybe, and there is a weekly show on each of the local teams on our RSN, but I cannot do sports talk 24/7 or anything close.
630 is the third sports talk station in the DC market, and there is not a sufficient market for three. Cumulus will figure this out eventually.
There had been a third one in the market, but it’s a talk station now.
