The table above shows his point about the difference between conservatives and the left. Namely, that the left demands empathy. Which you actually demand by complaining. Conservatives demand - for themselves and others - respect.
The conservative critique of the left is that its demand for empathy is a bad system - in that the behavior it rewards is complaining - and if your system is to continually accede to complaints, complaints will be all you will get - from anybody.
Scott leaves the reason “Why” of the left - “Humanity” - hanging, without amplification. But he draws a vertical dotted line between “Conservatives" and “Left” labeled “Religion.” And says that the rationale the left uses to deny conservatives respect is the left’s claim that religion denies science - notwithstanding the fact that Scott points out that he has never met a conservative who rejected the scientific method.
I don’t agree with his take. Leftists are empathetic with whom they would empathize, but hate and dehumanize those with whom they won’t. The real divide is between those who embrace coercion, and those who wish to limit it.
As usual, the Left gets this completely wrong.
A secular humanist will praise Science.
A Conservative is likely to say, "Science, yes. Science is good. But there is more."
A secular humanist is likely to say, "No. There is nothing more. The material world is all there is. My narrow view is the only correct view. Your wider view is incorrect."
So the problem isn't that religion denies science - the problem is that the Left denies the spiritual side of life. They are narrow minded bigots.
When Robert/Bob Woodson and other old civil rights activists don’t have a clue what ‘instutional’ or ‘systemic’ racism are, you sh*t is made up word jargon then.

If you went to Scott’s blog, you’d see a discussion of that point. Adams’ point is that when you analyze the complaints and responses to the complaints about police “persecution” of blacks you reach the point where police target black men because that’s where the crime is, and black men resent the police because the police treat them as suspects. So young black men react the way you would react as a young man. And you have a vicious circle.
Hmm, not going to read article (I suck, I know) but one does have to ponder why ‘institutional’ and ‘systemic’ racism is only occurring, you guessed it, in the Dem tard controlled cities and states...............

I like Scott but too often he goes down the rabbit hole of ‘over thinking’. That is the great weakness of the Intellect.
Most of the times that I have over thunk things, I’ve ended up in error, regretting that I didn’t trust my intuition.
He managed to call the election for Trump way back in 2015.

I haven't listened to Scott Adams in a while, but last year I listened to his podcasts almost every weekday.
Listening to Adams for a long time, I think he uses "left of Bernie" as a way to disarm listeners. There may be some issues where he is strongly "liberal", but he's most strident about free enterprise, conservative common sense, and systems that work.
He's also been the most upfront about fighting fake news. He singlehandedly took on the issue of the fine people hoax at Charlottesville.
To this day CNN insists that Trump called Nazis fine people. So Adams is clearly on our side.

All this crappola was the basis for the war in heaven. Coercion vs Agency. Satan vs Christ. One got his rearend handed to him as he exited stage left. He brought his agenda with him as he was cast down to earth to provide the necessary opposition to Good.

I’m all for empathy, but Adams is right. It’s a bad thing on which to base a system.
