Statement releasesd by Ashley Hunter City of Cayce Spokeswoman In Monday, at 8:11 p.m., a call was made to the Cayce Department of Public Safety. The complainant stated that two females with young children in strollers were vandalizing the Cayce Riverwalk with paint.
Two females, matching the description of the suspects, including the strollers, were observed at 8:20 PM leaving the West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater. One Cayce Department of Public Safety officer then attempted to speak to both of the females and observed paint on their clothing and their person.

Im an activist, this is a revolution.
Im naked! (*while exposing herself to our officer.)
As they are trained, our officers worked to deescalate the situation.
At one point, the “activists” told the officer “we’re going to take you down. The officer, intimidated, enjoyed the free show and allowed the young ladies to leave.
P.S. I think it was more than one officer.
“Cayce” is in South Carolina (?). I’m waiting for some real pushback from America to end this foolishness—a big collective “Hell No”, a Kent State.
For anyone interested, it is pronounced Kay-see
Bad move. Allow this sort of crime to be unpunished, and you get more of it.
Here is what I got from the link.

Welcome to the new norm.
Yes, central South Carolina. I posted this story because it is so dang quirky.
First, the officers let the women go even though there was evidence of vandalism.
Second, the “activists” threatened the officers.
Third, the young lady exposed herself to the officers.
The police appeared intimidated. I cannot blame the police for being intimidated it the present climate. Maybe they were wise not to get involved. Now, I only hope they are not unfairly blamed for not acting. We well know what would have happened if the arrests had gone badly.
Almost never go there.
I lived there part time 2008-2014. Actually, the River Walk is a great place. Nice metro area. Lots of older houses and grid like area to walk in evenings.
Glad they have the video. I hope the offenders aren’t allowed to get away with either the vandalism or the making of false charges to try to incite violence against the police. There’s a possibility that will happen, though, because police and officials nearly everywhere are intimidated. I think when the evidence is clear, they should prosecute, and publicize the cases as much as possible.

Yes indeed. That cop taught those two females a lesson. And the lesson was that if you scream and fuss, you will be let go.
But no worries. The Cayce spokeswoman says that the incident is under investigation (funny lady).
I did a pass or two on it.
After a normal week of the job and life, I rarely went over that way.
I barely leave Forest Acres except for the job.
I can certainly understand that. It is a good way from you through lots of urban traffic.
My way to the office takes me down 26 about 40 miles away, usually light traffic and almost all interstate.
This week is a birthday present to myself. A whole 40 hours of vacation. I get 5 weeks and haven’t used that much.
Mostly I’ve caught up on things around home, some project work on the jalopies, hanging with the spouse, cleaning the garage building getting use out of that gantry I bought last year.

Let’s see....
The cops let the two vandals go

And the body-cam video link is dead
nice going..
Why even have police then???
Rollover is frowned on.
Usually by December, I am almost out of days for some reason.
Besides this is an experiment of sorts.
I am the only on-site Mr. fixit/tech guy/help desk/flunky supporting about 200 people. Some are field and satellite office.
People asked me for my home number when they found out I was going to be out for a week.
I shudder to think how many tickets and fires will be waiting on my return.
My company laptop and Iphone are untouched.
The boss and a higher manager or two have all my numbers though. If there was a real problem, I’d hear about it and go pitch in.
