William S. Sessions, F.B.I. Director at a Turbulent Time, Dies at 90
NYT ^ | 6/12/2020 | Robert D. McFadden

Posted on 06/12/2020 5:04:48 PM PDT by Borges

William S. Sessions, a director of the F.B.I. under three presidents, from 1987 to 1993, who challenged racial and gender bias in his agency but struggled to redefine its mission in a time of domestic turmoil, and who was fired after being accused of ethical lapses, died on Friday in San Antonio. He was 90.

His daughter Sara Sessions Naughton confirmed the death, at the home of one of Mr. Sessions’s sons. Mr. Sessions had lived in San Antonio as well.

Mr. Sessions arrived in Washington as a figure of stern probity, a Republican hailed by Democrats and Republicans as a scrupulously fair federal judge from West Texas. Nominated by President Ronald Reagan, he sailed through Senate confirmation, 90-0, for what was supposed to be a 10-year term at the helm of 10,000 agents, 56 field offices and the traditions of a storied Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Was he absent for his own passing?

X42 fired him before he could have him arrested or set up for impeachment to be precise, just like Billy fired every US prosecutor when he took office ... that’s why we have HILLARY still around waiting for Biden to have an accident or commit suicide. You heard it here first ... ;-)

So, apparently his “ethical lapse” was related to not being onboard the Clinton bandwagon.

Terrible FBI Director. I believe he was canned or not reappointed for having FBI employees work on his house and curry his wife around. He was more status conscious bureaucratic toady than he was legit G Man

1987 to 1993 was a “turbulent time”? I must have missed that as we were busy having kids and enjoying life.

The last couple years of President Reagan — things were peaceful, we were prosperous, we didn’t have internal communists working to overthrow the government, we didn’t have coup d’etat engineered by the intelligence agencies, cities weren’t burning.

The turbulence didn’t start until Monica was servicing Bill under the Oval Office desk in 1995.

I think he was related to ex Congressman Pete Sessions.

Yeah, I didn't get that either. Compared to today, those years were Paradise, even with the Gulf War. 1970s and 1980s were great decades, the decline of the nation's culture started in the mid-1990s under Clinton.

1993 was the turbulent time. He was set to uncover the epic-level corruption of the Clintoon Crime Family going on when he was $hitcanned and replaced with that hack Louie Freeh, who looked the other way as the Derp State increased its control of the nation.

Hmmmn.

And today’s FBI-CIA-NSA toadies and bootlickers are all being promoted up through the ranks under Freeh and Reno, weren’t they?

Perfect example of getting old - I was sure I’d responded but no response to you in my comments. This’ll have to do. ;-)

Except I must elaborate.

We had X42 (pre-election) on WhiteWater, Charlie Trie, the CCP funding of his election then Travelgate, LoralGate (where we taught China how to get their rockets off the ground without exploding and threw in ICBM MIRV capabilities for free), Ron Brown in Commerce got dual use tech approval from the State Department. All that going on and the press made it all about Monica and sex is private to distract from the real issues. Thanks Bill.

There’s lots more to the list but its dinnertime.

I hesitate to say because I can’t recall specifics of his tenure. However, I do have niggling feeling of mediocrity for some reason. I do know that he was an idiot for approving a new FBI hand gun and ammunition. He went along with the 10mm and the cobbled together S & W 1076. All turned into an expensive fiasco.

Because its important - we gave or they stole tech on ICBM MIRV capability.

ICBM MIRV means Intercontinental Ballistic Missile with Multiple Independent Re-Entry/Pick your target Vehicles (Nukes).

That means they can hit us anywhere in the US and each rocket can rain down TWELVE nukes at once over the US.

As I said, thanks Bill, Ron, Monica and the press.
