Scores of Americans were outraged after seeing a picture of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) presenting an American flag to the family of George Floyd as though he had been killed fighting for the country.
The photo, which was seen posted on various social media sites, was confirmed as genuine by BizPac Review after locating it as part of a collection involving the family of Floyd on Pelosi’s official Twitter feed.
“Philonise Floyd’s heart-wrenching testimony to @HouseJudiciary left its mark on us all. May this flag, which flew over the Capitol on the day of his brother’s murder, serve as a symbol of our shared commitment to securing justice for George & all victims of police violence,” she wrote on her post containing the photo.

Actually, a non-veteran can have a folded flag at his funeral, however, the VA would not provide it for free, as they would for a veteran.

Thanks for the info. The one point during my dad’s funeral when my mom burst into open tears was when the commander of the local VFW honor guard handed her his flag. And he just maintained radio gear in the Air Force for a hitch.

As the widow of a career Army officer, I was handed the flag at my husband’s funeral-a special moment for me-and just hearing about this pisses me off more than I can say-to see the family of someone who never served and was a meth head and criminal presented with that flag. What happened to that man should not have-but it doesn’t merit a flag presentation, no matter how he died-that bitch Pelosi has insulted all veterans and their family members, too...
As inane as this is, it’s common practice for Congressitters to gift to people flags flown over the capital.
Usually, though, it goes to donor$. Same difference here, as Pelosi is working it. (Love her mask regimine, though).
