Two far-right news sites, ZeroHedge and The Federalist, will no longer be able to generate revenue from any advertisements served by Google Ads, according to NBC News.
The two sites were found to be in violation of Googles policies on content related to race when they pushed unsubstantiated claims about the Black Lives Matter protests sparked in recent weeks by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody on May 25, NBC reported.
Google did not immediately respond to an inquiry from The Hill.
We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing," a Google spokesperson told NBC. "When a page or site violates our policies, we take action. In this case, weve removed both sites ability to monetize with Google.
Since the 2016 elections, Google has doubled-down on targeting fake news sites.

Plenty of other advertising revenue generation sites. Google represents the worst of them. Good riddance.
Sue their pants off
Censorship marches unabated.................Heil Google!.................
Wow, Google cant handle the truth getting out.
Yet, liberals can say unsubstantiated things all the time on everything from glaciers disappearing to Trump paying hookers to pee while jumping on a Russian bed.
Id say Google doesnt follow what it claims is its policy, so that should be a lawsuit.
Don't make me click on the link. Just tell me whether or not they tell their readers what the unsubstantiated claims were. If so, what were they?
BS.. of course anti-white and anti-cop or anti-conservative ‘hatred’ is just peachy.
I’d say; “And so it begins....”
But this type of free speech censorship has been ongoing for years now.
And as we get closer to Election Day - it will only increase. To the extent that no new source will be allowed to post any positive Trump News.
Only negative lies and propaganda.
Book-burners never think they’re the Nazis.
But you have to bake that gay wedding cake.
Either revoke the civil rights law outright or add political bias to it.
Either were all free or none of us are.
It’s not just the advertising revenue that’s affected.
Try searching Google for news articles from the Federalist or ZeroHedge.
Might be there today. But trust me. As we get closer to Election Day.... ALL conservative news agencies will be silenced.
Look at what just happened today to One America Now.
“Far right”
Bake the cake
Some politics are more equal than others.
Wait—The Federalist is FAR-right?????
One of the defining attributes of third world countries throughout the Cold War was the Episodic taking of control by military-backed regimes to prevent a communist takeover. The US press never fully reported this concatenation of events. As a result the regime of the counter coup was usually characterized as right wing autocrats. But then when the forces of decay and decomposition threaten to ruin a culture, what else are the people to do. When a Nation is rotted hollow with corruption and political cancer, the usual rules dont hold.

Google’s share of U.S. Internet ad revenue amounts to 37.2%, and the largest share among all shares.
RE: Google bans Federalist, ZeroHedge from its advertising platform
Well, what to say? Zero Hedge is banned in Free Republic.
Basically, the FTC needs to force open Google’s, Twitter’s and Facebook’s markets, the way it moved on Microsoft, IBM and AT&T. Trump has been a miserable disappointment in this regard. He’s been in office for 3-1/2 years. Why hasn’t the FTC been beating their heads in?
It’s not good riddance at all. It will happen more at Google and then it will happen everywhere
