THE REPORT LISTS BREONNA’S INJURIES AS NONE. YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY. NONE.
OFFICERS ALSO CHECKED ‘NO’ NEXT TO THE BOX THAT SAYS FORCED ENTRY, ALTHOUGH THERE IS BOTH WITNESS TESTIMONY TO CONTRADICT THIS AS WELL AS CRIME SCENE PHOTOS SHOWING THEY USED A BATTERING RAM TO ENTER THE RESIDENCE.

We need police. But there is enough corruption in the police, as there is in many segments of our governments, to make me wonder how sane discipline and control can be established in bad departments.

Rand is trying to ban no knock warrants. I hope it makes it in the final bill.
No knock warrant to the wrong address looking for a guy that was already in custody and shooting someone in her bed? I would hope that would require more than a financial settlement.
Of all the recent incidents this is undoubtedly the most egregious.
It's not in the Senate bill. It's in the House bill.
I think no-knock warrants can be justified ... in maybe one percent of the cases they are used in. So, I could see keeping them, but only after some more stringent scrutiny before approval. But, as we saw with FISA, maybe that doesn’t work.
Therefore, I’d be willing to do a test run of eliminating them for a while to see what happens.
Rand will push for it don’t worry. I’m sure he’s working hard to get it done...
The Houston raid that killed Dennis Tuttle and Rhogena Nicholas was pretty bad.
There are several of these every year, where innocent citizens are killed in no-knock raids gone bad.
The damage they do to the citizenry and our freedoms if far greater than letting the occasional drug dealer flush a kilo of evidence away.
The *only* way they could ever be justified is in hostage rescue when we are 100 percent sure it’s not a false address.
There should be no immunity for any officers or any department if they act on misinformation, make it incumbent on them, personally, to get the right house.
It sort of makes one wonder what the REAL agenda of BLM etal is.
If they would have exploited this women and the one that was shot in her home by a cop who was in her back yard ‘investigating’ a prowler complaint, a lot more people may have gotten behind it and given the movement some legitimacy.
Only thing I can figure is they back the felons because it will bring out the WTF among us and ‘allow’ them to vent their (supposed) anger because ‘WE’ don’t care...
Mostly agree. Also, the relation between promotion and aggressive arrests should be checked and severed. There should be no incentive to conduct such a raid; it should only be a last resort (and a toilet flush possibility isn’t a last resort) to save innocent lives or protect the arresting officers.
This happened in Mobile, Alabama but she was white so no real controversy.
These victims deserve justice.

Scott announced the Republican proposals the other day. No ban on no-knock warrants.
Agreed. Every officer involved should do hard time, and their Chief should be sacked.
