Except that is not historically correct. The US government and the US Constitution recognized slavery as legitimate.

Reparations were paid in blood. 1861-1865. 700,000 gave up their lives, tens of thousands more gave up arms, legs, eyes over the issue.

“Until we...” start throwing money at racial extortionists, it will never occur to us that the demands and victimization never ends. It’s the nature of extortionists. And it’s interesting to see the major players jockeying for position to act as the funnel for distributing the funds. They truly understand top-down redistribution.

Only most Southern slaves were freed in June of 1865. Northern slaves continued to be held in bondage till the ratification of the 13th amendment, which occurred December 6, 1865.

In reality, your plan means that reparations have already been paid— some, many times over.
Still others have collected who weren’t owed. Those people need to pay the money back.
Oh, they don’t have the cash? They can work it off. (snicker)
And what about biracial people? Do they collect, or do they pay?
