House Speaker Nancy Pelosi asserted in an interview Tuesday that Republicans are "trying to get away with murder, actually -- the murder of George Floyd" -- marking a dramatic escalation in rhetoric as the Democrat-controlled House prepares to pass its police reform package.
Pelosi, D-Calif., speaking to CBS News Radio correspondent Steve Futterman, said Senate Republicans' reform proposals in the wake of Floyd's in-custody death in Minneapolis were "unsalvageable" and won't make "any difference."
Specifically, Pelosi said Democrats want a total ban on chokeholds, which Attorney General William Barr has also suggested he would support. But, Pelosi said, some Republicans are waffling on the issue.

What constitutional authority does the fedgov have to ban choke holds that are employed in a non discriminatory manner? I know everyone wants to virtue signal, but this is ridiculous.

Nancy couldnt care less about George Floyd...she never met him nor would she have never had him home for tea and crumpets or ice cream...
If Nanci doesn’t singlehandedly incarcerate all violent humans who need to be subdued, eliminating the choke hold will result in our cities being inundated with violent drugged-up loonies, or result in other methods being used. The reason LAPD had no tools but PR-24’s left to deal with Rodney King is that politicians had banned use of the “choke hold” in just such circumstances.
Can we now arrest her for insisting violence and insurrection?

I wouldn’t be very surprised if we are told that Nancy Pelousy herself gave the order to have George Floyd killed to get this all started. She amazes me that at her age she tries so hard to dive to the very bottom of the cesspool of corruption she inhabits. Time will pass, and so will the memory of her, but for now, she is rivaling Hillary for the title of “Horrid Evil Harridan of the Century”, something I thought would be impossible.
