Academic department calls on Penn State to require ‘structural racism’ courses

An entire academic department at Pennsylvania State University is advocating for courses on “structural racism” to be added to the required course load.

The Penn State African American Studies Department published an open letter to university President Eric Barron titled, “How We Can Make Black Lives at Penn State Matter.” They alleged that Penn State is an unwelcoming environment for non-white students.
.
.
.
Coursework on the subjects of oppression and racism is supposedly necessary in order to “educate our students and community about the history of structural racism, racial violence, and the meaning of transformative justice.” The transformative justice movement is one that views prisons, police, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement as violent institutions that must be abolished.

Queer Theory, Gender Identity and Race Identity 301:

Sorry but you've got too few multi-syllabic words, a 3 level non-STEM course has to have a title so dense that the gullible sign up just to see what it is but since the drop day precedes the first class, so sorry!

Here's a description of the major and required courses. (PSAASD)

Took a quick look and you know what struck me? Not a single offering that indicated what a successful African American does, now or in history. All oppression, all of the time, so attacking the racists is your only choice!

An entire academic department at Pennsylvania State University is advocating for courses on “structural racism” to be added to the required course load.

That entire academic department at Pennsylvania State University should revamp its entire program. They should seek the assistance and approval of people like Herman Cain, Clarence Thomas, Armstrong Williams, Candace Owens, Walter Williams, Condoleezza Rice, Ben Carson, etc. These highly successful people understand "structural racism" real or not real, and would benefit the entire university.

A good starting point would be a definition of exactly what is "structural racism."

If that entire academic department really wants to go forward, they should seek outside help from those who have the wherewithal to move onward and upward.

Otherwise, shut it down and save much embarrassment to the Pennsylvania State University.

“The Penn State African American Studies Department...”

Pure communism/socailism/fascism/leftist racism, plain and simple.

what is "structural racism"?...being forced to go to school and study?..holding a job as a teenager so you can afford college later on?....having it ingrained in you that marriage is the way to go and having children is a blessing?...that working hard your whole life and saving to pay for college and retirement?....

how about is it "structural racism" to be a good citizen?

More required courses means more jobs for PhD’s in that subject.

It’s been going on for so many years, I can’t remember when it and all the Women’s Gender Studies, Basketweaving etc etc etc even started.

Glad I graduated from “academia” in 1971, and went into the business world, so I didn’t see that crap happening. I have a tendency to speak my mind, and my university wouldn’t have liked it. Like I give a flying rat’s rearend...

Make students take these courses equals having to hire more faculty for their department.

“They are setting up the education system to destroy anything white and American“

I would just say they want to destroy any free thinking or independent thought or self sufficiency .
Regardless of skin color.
They are Marxist’s who want control.

Ah, but by the time the indoctrinators have got them that far they will be so addled that they may be loosing the ability to recognize words have meaning as well as have no curiosity and so you have to be very blunt.

Hmmm ... maybe with 400 level courses for sure.

By 500 level courses will eventually be titled things like “Representin’ and Presentin’”.

#1. Maybe they should set up a “Future Baristas/Bartenders/Waiters/Waitresses Program” because that is where most of them will end up.

This kind of Black stupidity knows no bounds and is a slap in the face of decent Afro-Americans who got useable degrees, went out into the world (hostile or friendly) and made something of themselves. Talk about showing “disrespect”.

BLM - Black Losers Don’t Matter.
